Hi jvv,

Boy, I wish I could say that the weight loss was just due to exercise - but I can't.

If I "cheat" on my food - I PAY DEARLY. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy all of the foods I eat right now and yes, I could eat these things the rest of my life. BUT, I sure do miss some of the very naughty foods like pizza, chocolate, ice cream, and peanut butter. I'm afraid those foods I can not control. They are like booze or drugs - addictive and I can never predict when or if I will stop.

Oh well, it is a small price to pay for feeling great about yourself.

24.5 pounds, working on my second goal. I'm going to be 180 by summer if I have to cut off my ears and shave my head.

CD1 you will have big pants by summer. JVV don't despair, I have a scale that measures body fat and muscle mass, my muscle mass has gon from under 30% up to over 38% in about 90 days. Remember muscle weighs more than fat and helps you increase your metabolism. How's your balance, if you are an "old" guy, the improved balance might well help you prevent a fall that could be debilitating. Keep up the hard work, you'll likely see a positive result soon.

Call me butter cuz I'm on a roll. 26 pounds since Jan. 2 and no slowing down. Next big hurdles to clear are St. Patty's Day and the opening weekend of the NCAA tourney.

Hit a plateau on the weight loss, but bench pressed 200 yesterday. Not too shabby for almost 62.

200 lbs! Wow! You'll get off the plateau, I'm sure. You're doing great!

I have a summer goal too. We're going to Hawaii and I want to look decent in a bathing suit, plus I want to be able to hike and swim without pain. I've lost 9 lbs so far. 11 lbs to go to reach my goal weight of 140. The doctor wants me down to 135 so my BMI will be down around 23, but I'm taking this one goal at a time. I have't been in the 130s for over twenty years.

Awesome job Pam. I have a hiking/climbing trip to Colorado coming up in August. Plenty of motivation for both of us.

WTG, ErinMarie!

I LOVE shopping in my own closet too! I have boxes of things that are too small. It's fun getting back into them.

I recently bagged up a bunch of jeans that were falling off and gave them to Charity. Here's a tip. Keeping clothing that's too big gives you subconcious permission to put the weight back on. By getting rid of it, you're giving yourself a strong message that you WILL be keeping it off this time!

Last time I lost some weight I kept the bigger clothes. This time I'm getting rid of "too big" clothing as soon as it's apparent I can't wear it anymore. I am NOT going to put this weight back on again!

28.7 as of today. I found six pairs of pants in my closet that fit. You're right about shopping in your closet.
