I've not missed a body test in the last 45 days or so, and I'm trying to lose weight. While the overall trend has been down the daily readings bounce around quite a bit. I can tell I'm losing weight, and would say that I'd lost a fair amount, but this hasn't been reflected in the Wii Fit readings - until yesterday.
Yesterday I got on for my usual routine, and the body test told me I had lost 16.5 lbs. since the last time. Since I had last performed a body test 24 hours before I'm pretty sure I didn't lose that weight in a single day. Thinking that there was an error somewhere I did the body test again - and it told me I'd lost 4.6 lbs. since the last time (which was some 60 second previous).
I'm concerned that it may be broken, or breaking. Any advice?
I'm having a similar problem. We just got our Wii Fit last weekend, and my initial weigh-in was 20 pounds light, but my husband's was almost spot on. Is there a way to calibrate it?
I did a little test with some digital scales and the balance board one thing i noticed both devices don't give accurate weight readings on carpet so for more accurate readings a wooden plinth placed under the balance board may help when i did this i weighed more or less the same on the balance board and scales
Hi there, I have the same problem - apparently I've put on 1st 6 lbs in 24 hrs !!!!!! I have been using my board regularly and it's accuracy has been slowly diminishing - I can tell by the "free step" training programme - each time I do it I seem to manage to register fewer steps - in reality I'm doing the same number of steps. I've tried it on a wooden plinth as well as carpet but it's no different. It's very frustrating as I'm trying to use it sensibly to monitor my progress. Any suggestions as to what I can do about it would be very welcome. Thanks Bertie
In the Settings menu, there is a "Wii Balance Board Check". Not sure if this might help?
The only problem I had with the Wii scale (and it was my own 'operator error'), was that I forgot to reattach the little riser feet when I put the balance board back onto my carpet (I had the little riser feet off while using the board with the elevated riiser). Because the board was lower than it should have been on the carpet and thus semi-supported on the carpet, I weighed 28 pounds less -- nice shot, but I knew that couldn't be!

b26003 Thank you for that tidbit, I store mine leaning up against my entertainment center. I will have to find another place for it where it won't get in my husband's way, he avoids it like the plague.
Hello there, I compare my Wii fit weight and in my bathroom scale, there is atleast 10 lbs difference. Why? Also my Wii fit place on the wooden floor and it's not on a carpet, it should be more accurate right?
I'm trying to lose weight..but I cannot lose weight if it is not accurate. I'm using the Wii Fit Plus and there is now an option for the Simple Body test, does anyone know if it is accurate?
