I'm having trouble with the green feet on advanced step. I can do every other move perfectly but can only get an OK with the green feet (and of course the subsequent two moves are then only OK as well). Can someone tell me what I should be doing? Thanks.

The whole thing is based on stepping on the board in synch with the feet showing up on the screen. If I remember correctly the green ones are the kick steps?

Yes, the green feet are the kicking motion. I seem to have the timing right - I am following both the music and the miis. Maybe I'm not shifting my weight appropriately?

I can only get a perfect on the green feet by actually stepping on the balance board. I touch my foot down and then quickly pull the leg back up. Took more than a couple times to figure that out.....since it's not what they tell you to do, and not what the Miis do either!

You don't need to kick. Just pick the foot up, hold it a moment, then put it back on the floor.

When I used to do it, to get it to work, I had to lift up my leg (like a knee up) and then make a stomping motion out & down. For some people it works and some don't. My husband could just kick and it would work, I'd have to stomp.

At first I was kicking too lightly, but when I kicked a little harder I would get perfects.

thanks for the hint - I finally got perfects on the green feet (the right way) last night! I still think it's weird though - the other Miis just pick up their knee.....

According to the Wiki, you don't need to kick. You just need to lift the leg:

wiki/index.php/Advanced_Step.

Maybe it works for others if they just lift it, but it doesn't work that way for me.......it's cool, I don't mind kicking.....
