When I was in my CNA class and doing clinicals, I noticed one of the things the nursing home invested in was 2 Wiis. They had one in the recreation room for everyone, and another one in the Rehab wing of the center.
What I noticed it that you couldn't tear the people playing it away from it, it prolly helped them a lot, being able to bowl and play other games.

Jaeor - your right ) I think once you get someone on the Wii its tricky to then get the remote back!! The easiest way to keep active is by doing something that is enjoyable - it helps motivate for future goes on the console for all ages. The more consoles in nursing and residential homes the merrier I say!! You read quite a bit about people donating Wii's to nursing home and hospitals - but then I guess its an affordable gift that people get a lot of use and enjoyment from. )
