Bananas, as everyone knows, can be a great source of carbohydrates just before working out. They also contain a large amount of Vitamin B6, Vitamin C and potassium. However, eating raw bananas can get a bit boring. Here's a simple recipe for spicing things up a bit:

Ingredients:

Unpeeled ripe banana
Salt and pepper

Place the unpeeled banana in a baking dish and cook it in a preheated oven set at 180°C (350°F) for about 10-15 minutes. Cooking time will depend on the size and ripeness of the banana. Less ripe bananas will take more time.

Peel when cool enough to handle and season with salt and pepper.

You can make this a dessert by substituting for the salt and pepper a little brown sugar and either lemon juice or rum. Just sprinkle the sugar and lemon juice or rum over the banana.

You can also cook green bananas this way, although they will require about 20 minutes in the oven.

Enjoy.

Here's another Banana idea for you. Frozen bananas taste just like banana ice cream! I freeze them all the time. You can eat the frozen slices, or you can blend them up in food processor. Enjoy!

Do you freeze them in their skins or out of them?

I peel them and slice them up, and then freeze them.
