I had been using my Wii fit without any problems until I got (1) a rechargeable battery pack and (2) Wii fit plus. Since then, I don't get very far until the blue light on the balance board starts flashing and the message appears that connection with the board has been lost and to turn it on again. I have tried re-synching the board, going back to normal batteries ... nothing works. I checked whether or not the board was functioning properly, and it's okay. Is there anyone else who has got/had the same problem? Any suggestions?
Do you know anyone else with either a Wii or a balance board? If you do, try synching your balance board with your Wii, or your balance board with their Wii and see if that works.
Have you tried with some brand new batteries? I mistakenly put some duds in mine a while back, took me ages to realise what I'd done, felt very stupid
Also, when is this happening? Is it mid way through an exercise? During a routine? Or just at the beginning?

Interesting. . . I got a WiiFit Motion Plus controller for Xmas and since then I have lost the connection to my balance board at least once or twice a week. I do not (yet) use rechargeable batteries.

Use the same equipment (still using rechargeable batteries) and have no problems to report.

Connection is lost in the middle of a routine - about 2/3 minutes in, and even when I've waited for the flashing light to go off and switched the board on again, the problem reoccurs. Interestingly, it only happens in routines such as step & marching where your feet leave the board. I swapped battery packs with my sister, just in case that was the problem (she has no problems with her board), but I still lost the connection, so the next step will be to take my board to her house the next time I see her. I googled the problem and came across an American based site where other people were complaining of the same problem, but Nintendo were denying that there was an issue. Everyone's problems started once they got Wii fit +, so I think I'll stick the Wii fit CD in again and see what happens.
Check your sd card slot. The instructions that came with the board indicate how to set up the board with the wii, and this involves the sd card slot where there is the sync button. Worked for the wife.
I also have been getting this "board has lost connection" message with using the obstacle course area of the Fit plus....have changed the batteries and still have the issue...the board is only 5 feet from the console so not too sure what happens and it is only using the obstacle course for me...very frustrating!! Anyone found the solution yet????? thanks
