I understand that banana has several vitamins which are good for health. Does eating banana a day keeps the doctor away? Any views. I invite valued opinion from forum members.

Gotta be careful with bananas if you're diabetic they may wreck havoc. It's interesting the foods with the most potassium and a greater abundance and variety of vit and minerals, are usually loaded with sugars. Bananas send my blood sugar numbers over the moon, even if a eat one-half before a "hard" exercise session my numbers after are just too too high.
I'm not sure about them having more than any other fruit, but bananas contain about 100 calories depending on size.
However you have to get calories from somewhere and a banana sure beats many of the alternatives.
Most fruits are quite highin sugar, which is why you should be careful about drinking large quantities of fruit juices and especially smoothies.
As always, read the label or look it up on the Internet. Don't just assume that because something is natural that you can eat or drink as much as you like of it.
I love bananas but I don't think they are the best choice when it comes to fruits. I think blueberries are one of the best fruits when it comes to vitamins and nutrients. But I'm good with my weight, so I don't mind the extra calories of a banana.

I think you've got too many 0's on the end there, although it depends on what unit you are using. Most people talk about "calories" when they mean kilocalories (shown as kcal on the back of packets)
If you google for "calories in a banana" most sites put it at about 1 per gram, or about 100 per average banana. For a fruit it is quite high in energry, but it's a much better source of energy than many other things

Banana is the fruit which has much benefit's like, For making one's healthy and powerful. Also good for the man's health and eating banana's on daily base may keep you healthy but I surely not say about that it keep you away from doctor.... Apple is the one which eat's on daily basis and keep's yourself away from doctor...

Yes, and my doctor says no banana's and some other things for me, because I have to much potassium, magnesium and other things most people have to less.
