Yeah crunches are the best thing, but in the Wii Fit Plus you can do Jack knifes and I can definately feel my abs working after about 30 of those babies. The key to that excersize is doing them the right way, also when I do crunches I also turn side to side to work my obliques.
Most people's perception of yoga is pretty far from reality, it's all about muscle, and control, not about going "ommm" and deep breathing. You have to have pretty good abdominal muscle control to do a shoulder stand (although don't start with that, build up to it).
The strongest, fittest, and most well toned person I've ever known was my old yoga instructor, the guy made most gymnasts look positively flabby
It will build many of the smaller abdominal muscles all the way round your body, while improving your back and posture. When I do yoga on a regular basis I swear I walk about an inch taller
If you are just after a six-pack then you might as well just do lots of situps, but if you want a more toned look all-over then yoga is one way to get it.
thanks guys...I am not about the six pack...I am a 47 yr old woman and those days are far gone!! ..I plan to focus just on strength and yoga exercises tonight...(however, I am obsessed with both the cycling and running on the island)..I ran 3 miles last night before I knew it!! then jumped on the bike for the 13 flag edition..(I still cant find the 22 flag, but dont want the spoilers!)

Good for you; do it without the spoilers. It's not too bad with the flags, but when you get to the Free Ride level, the balloons are in hard to find places. I'd try it for some time before reading the spoilers, but you might get a bit frustrated. The spoilers are there if you have to give it up.

Jack-knives--I'll swear by them. They give you a better rounded workout than just crunches, because you're working upper and lower abs. I've found though that the best way to get a good workout with that exercise is to always push yourself. They can burn, but I've found time and again that I actually have a lot more jackknives in me than I feel like I do.
