Very, very evil and very, very, very purposeful.
And battle with the master? Why not? Sounds like something out the animés I watch. They could get a manga out of this, I'm sure. Of course, they would have to have school girls (in uniforms) play your roles, but oh well ...

I am just amazed at you all and have been a slient watcher of the group for a while. I am a newbie and thanks to all you help I am unlocking, but I will never achieve your speeds. I am the wrong side of 55 now and also recovering from ME
I am having problems going barefoot, I usually wear orthic supports in my shoes, and wondered what your new slippers are like.
Can anyone else suggest suitable supportive footwear so I could exercise for longer without foot pains.

Hi lostme, thats what I did when a newbie looked through lots a posts & marvelled at the achievements made . Glad to hear your making a good recovery from ME, I would think that some gentle excercise on the wii would help a lot...
I cannot use the balance board with barefeet as it hurts my feet also, so I'm sure that with you having to wear orthic supports in your shoes it would be hard going for you using the balance board barefoot. What do you usually wear indoors, and do they give you any kind of support?
Without knowing if they are custom made for you & which area, or areas of the foot your inserts support its hard to make suggestions, can you get away with over the counter inserts? if so Iv'e come across a site 2foot2 based in UK, they carry inserts for common foot conditions.
The house slippers I wear are rubber soled , nicely padded underfoot inside & don't encase the whole foot, my toes peep out , I find this type more supportive for me when using the wii! then the ones that encase the whole of the front of the foot & usually get quite roomy after a while but these would probably not offer the support you need
Have you broached this subject to your doctor or pratice nurse? they might be able to suggest something that would give support but would be lighter then outdoor wear, you might also try your normal footwear out on the board see how you get on,as I'm sure that some people do use trainers on it.
And at 55 lostme! your a youngster compared to some of us on the forum I will be 62 this Thursday! and I'm sure that once your feet are comfortable they'll be no stopping you.... Kind Regards Auldnewbie

A new record for me:14:35!
I just started cycling seriously for the first time since last summer.
I recently went on vacation, ate too much and did too little. Gained 10 pounds.
I could feel the flab bouncing when I start cycling again so back to the race for me.
Lost 5 pounds already. There's the real win.
Wowee!!!Porquai your back with a vengence That's a great time, there was little old me really pleased that I'd managed to shave some time off last run was 14.52.35 now its going to be even harder to catch you up..
Talking of weight loss (mine is yo- yoing) would realy like to lose 16lb this year but at the moment I seem to have lost the willpower to not raid the fridge or cupboard in the evenings How long did it take you to lose the 5lb Porquai?

A question, if it's not too personal: how much sleep do you get? The reason I'm asking this is that there is a great deal of research out there suggesting that if you don't get enough sleep, you are more likely to gain weight. For one, your willpower is lower. For two, you feel tired, so your body thinks it is hungry when it isn't. For three, your metabolism goes out of whack a bit, which makes it harder to lose weight.
Now, this might not be the problem, but it might be something to think about. Otherwise, try a change of routine. Try to do something that takes your mind off of food. For me, that is playing an MMORPG. Nothing like whacking monsters over the head with a sword to keep the mind off one's appetite.
