I cannot get below 20 min. I think my best time is 20:30. I am going as fast as I can without stopping for pedaling too fast.

I have tried these routes and still get 20:30 min:

Start at top of mountain above castle, green area for #1
Go down mountain and get #2 behind castle.
Get #3 on triangle.
Follow path down and plummet to black road. #4 in ruins.
Go under tunnel/bridge and take a right up hill #5
Go through tunnel to dry lake for #6
Go back through tunnel and make a right.Go across rope bridge to plateau and get #7 and dog.
Jump off to black road and go through arch. Get # 8 and #9 on each side of inlet
go through tunnel/bridge again and make a left to beach for #10
go up to middle ledge for #11
go down from ledge, make a right toward waterfall, go up grass ramp leading to legge for #12
Jump down and go through arch. Go up to lighthouse for # 13
Go toward town, making a bee-line toward finish line/circle. Jump down to town to right of finish line/circle. Go to middle and get #14
Go down ramp amd make a right toward black road, to last houses on left before you hit the water for #15
ride along waterfront toward bridge. Make a left after tennis court and get # 16 between building
Go over bridge. Jump down through 2nd to last space to get #17
Go toward beach, get #18 under arch of camel rock, #19 on island, #20 to left of last island.

I have also tried this route, which is same as above except for beginning:

Start at triangle for #1
Follow path and get #2 behind castle.
Go up hill to top of mountain to grass area for #3
Go up to next grassy area, Plummet to dry lake for #4
Go through tunnel and make a left and get #5
Go back toward rope bridge and cross rope bridge to plateau and get #6 and dog.
Jump off to black road and go through arch. Get # 7 and #8 on each side of inlet
Go to ruins for #9
Go through tunnel/bridge and make a left to beach for #10
go up to middle ledge for #11
go back toward waterfall, go up grass ramp leading to legge for #12
Jump down and go through arch.

Another question I have is about the time. I think once I got 20:50:51 and I had 6 minutes and something left. That doesn't add up to 30. Has that ever happened to everyone?

This is the route that I use. It was developed by DiDi
Start at Duckling lake (you are heading toward the tunnel but starting before the green at Hump Rock) After 1st balloon head toward the castle staying to left of Hump Rock. Go for a swim and then head behind the castle, plunge before castle if you wish, debatable (pet doesn't really matter but you can use it here) Continue out of castle up the mountain counter clockwise. Plummet just before first plateau. Reincarnate and pop balloon then head up to plunge that will take you to Dry Lake bed (Hold the steering straight to head for balloon (approx time here 17:40) pop #3 and out tunnel to plunge by fence to reincarnate on ledge heading for balloon #4, turn tight going down toward the Red iron Bridge (fence plunge is debatable) Next is balloon in field by bridge, plunge into river, reincarnate on bridge heading into town. Pick up pet at corner going toward balloon between buildings (pet will join you after you turn into town after popping that balloon - sneaky pet) Climb centre ramp to balloon on plateau and then down ramp to balloon on edge of town. Skoot up to the lighthouse then across windmill field to get the balloon on the ledge, I stay above not jumping down to the road. Return to steel ramp cave and pop the balloon in the field before you jump down into the Dog leap Tunnel. Use pet to pop balloon on ledge next to lagoon, back to the road and then pop balloon in field on other side of laggoon. Then straight to the ruins to get balloon above circling the temple and then back down to the road heading for Man made tunnel. Immediately after tunnel turn right to get the balloon next to rock (use pet) and then down to the beach. After the first balloon on beach is popped I turn hard right to the grass and follow it along to behind the resort where I turn toward Camel Rock to get the balloon at its exit. Then down the beach to take the ramp up to plateau and #19 balloon, jump down, ring for kitty when you get close and then straight down the beach to get the last balloon using pet.
I use the pet almost all the time and never stop pedalling even while falling over cliffs to maintain rythym. Let me know how you make out
I look forward to having some new company on the road though I have to catch up to DiDi again, she is almost at the below 16 minute time.
As to the times not adding up, that had me confused for a time also. It keeps your best score and always says that is a new record. You have to calculate your time yourself unless you break the previous record. Keep an eye on your distances also. It helps to shorten times if you choose straight paths.
If you read the threads about under 20 minutes and under 26.5 minutes there are lots of hints and tips to be learned.

I followed all of that except:

"Skoot up to the lighthouse then across windmill field to get the balloon on the ledge, I stay above not jumping down to the road."

are you saying you go from the lighthouse to the plateau? (when I say plateau I mean the one which you can get to by going up cave with metal ramp or you can get to it by the rope bridge)
I am not sure how you get to it from windmill hill. Is there a death plummet I am missing here?

Or maybe you are saying you go across windmill hill and then go all the way to where the cave is, making a left before the cave up the grass ramp, going up to the ledge, pop the balloon, then back down the same grass ramp and then the cave UP the metal ramp. That makes more sense, because then the jump down would put you toward thew lagoon with a ball on either side.

Stay up on the ledge also as the road below is longer. You should still have a pet here, be sure to use him, practise double ringing to make him go further.

Thanks!
I really cant compare the time tho to my old route, because now i am having trouble with the plummet to dry lake since I got my new bike. Never had trouble before. I am also having trouble maneuvering. Keep getting stuck in corners and bumping into things! I want my old bike back

I have just got my new bike - very smart it is too.
Have also managed to get the balloons in 26 mins.
I'm intrigued about some of the drops you guys are using - can you tell me more about them?
Especially the one into the salt pan - boy would that save me time if I could get that.
I've tried a few times and just die!!! Help please!
Dottie

Dottie that jump is quite easy. Going counterclockwise around the mountain get the balloon and continue on to the green just above, there is a pet there but is of no value as you lose him when you jump. After the green there is a large rock on the right that you jump on to and you will reincarnate on the dry lake bed heading for the balloon. A few practise jumps will show you how soon you can turn right to jump onto the rock. Hope it helps you. A good run will have you jumping there in 28 seconds even. On the way to the first green where the balloon is there are 2 other jumps that will save a bit of time also. Just jump off on the right after turning the corner and falling toward the manmade tunnel and again just before the green to reincarnate heading for the balloon. Have fun.

I am still on 19 mins 26 secs.

I use a route that someone posted up here, a while back that starts on the volcano top, going down to behind the castle, then the triangle. at the triangle, I ride into the water, and this reincarnates me at the mouth of the tunnel going under and out toward the lake and green etc
