I finally posted the video of Didi's route, the 15:20 version.

See it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnCAEKFj4mg

The only major defect is that I thought the dog wasn't going to pop the balloon on Dog Leap Plateau and so I went off course a bit.

I removed the blacktop segment between the ruins and man-made tunnel to accomodate You Tube's 15 minute rule. I figure that part is pretty simple: pedal like mad!

You can hear my pedaling in the background which is a good cue as to my speed and when I slow down.

Excellent Porquai. Our routes are similar except the balloon above mad made tunnel and the route through town. In town I can see where your route is shorter and will try that. Not sure about the balloon above the tunnel but I may have to bow to your superiority on it as you are definately in the lead. An area where I think you could gain a bit of time is double ringing your pet. You seem to only ring once when you are close enough but I have found that as soon as I can see the balloon if I aim strait I can ring and then just before he stops running I ring again twice and he goes further. This is useful for the lighthouse balloon, plateau, s ledge, after dog leap and before the ruins and on the last balloon especially. I notice after the man made tunnel you don't use the pet for the first beach balloon either, I think if perfected when to send it out there could be time made there but I am having trouble getting it down right consistantly. Thanks for the great video. I haven't been cycling for 3 weeks due to vacation and illness but hope to feel well enough soon to give you a run for your money.

Thanks Porquai! I'm impressed...if I tried to video myself there would be more huffing and puffing for sure. I ride the route almost the same way. Couple little differences on turns but nothing significant (and nothing that looks like it affects time at all).

I've been unable to bike for a couple weeks due to illness, but watched your video and rode again today. I've been trying to double ring the pets, but I'm not convinced it saves me any time. I have to slow down when I do it, so it's almost a wash. I did it today in 15:10 without ever double ringing, just riding closer like you do. Still think the key is hitting that perfect pace - as fast as you can go without getting "pedaling too fast" warnings (which I got a lot today). Anyway, thanks!

Wow, thanks Porquai. This will be a huge help. I have been on vacation for the last month, but once I get home (next week), I'm gonna get back on my bike. :D

You are all very welcome. :D

I am also not in a place where I can cycle so I guess all we can do is talk and not do.

I was reviewing my recording of my 14:55 run for the first time and it is actually not that bad. It felt like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride when I was doing it but in retrospect it is worth posting which I will do ASAP.

Here is the 14:55 run as posted on You Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktWm3fqC2L0.

It felt awkward doing this run and you can see that I am wobbling all over the place at times. My unusual foot placement affected my steering.

I would point out that I kept speed lines all the way up the steel ramp. If you can put enough weight on the very front of the board while pedaling, you should be able to do this.

The trick is to pedal in this manner all through the route to get a very good time; to keep the mii bent over the bike all the way.

Interesting. Tells me it can be done if I can ever hit just the right pace. I've been on pace with that run several times at least to the balloon on the upper ledge after the dog leap tunnel. I lost all my time between 21:00 and 17:00. Interesting. Well, good motivation now that I can play again. Thanks Porquai.

Porquai, apparently your video is inspiring. Maybe it was hearing the pace for 15 minutes, I don't know. I had my best run ever, thought I would break 15 min, popped the last balloon, looked up and the clock said 15:02...but then I didn't get the "Congragulations" banner. Turns out the balloon between the lighthouse and the spiral tunnel did not pop (I cycled around until I found out which one). Such a bummer. But now I know I can do it. I tried a second run but I just couldn't keep up the speed. Maybe tomorrow. Or another day. So nice to have something to chase though.
