I've just taken a look at the forthcoming release by Electronic Arts called Active and it looks very promising...has anyone else seen it and do you think it could rival Wii fit.

I'm hoping to get a review copy soon, so I'll do a review of it.

The EA sports active is more like a REAL workout.
The resistance band they supply with the game is very flimsey, so I replaced it straight away with a stronger one.
You also have to wear a strap around your thigh which holds the nunchunk. It takes a bit of getting used to though.
There is a 30 day challange which is a great way to start and there is alo pre-set workouts at various intensity levels. You can also make up your own workouts.

I'd second that.

If you are after more of a calorie burning workout, then EA Sports Active is definitely the way to go.

Waving said that, Wii Fit Plus, with it's new routines system, is much better now. I'm currently using it to do a Yoga routine in the mornings, something that was hard to do with the old version as you were having to constantly switch between exercises yourself. Now that it does that automatically, I can get through all the yoga poses in about 35 minutes, which is perfect for first thing in the morning before I go to work.
