I have been using a wireless earphone system with my Wii for some months. It really enhances the cycling experience.
Wireless FM headphone kits can be expensive but I have cobbled together a cheap setup.
I purchased a wireless FM transmitter for iPod as pictured:
If you do a search on eBay "FM transmitter iPod 200 channel" you can purchase a unit like the one pictured for under $10. They have cheaper 4 channel units available but I can only attest to the workability of the 200 channel unit.
The transmitter works on 2 AAA batteries. It shuts itself off when it detects no sound so the batteries last for more than a few months. You can also use a cigarette lighter AC adapter, if you wish.
To make this unit work with Wii, you need to buy an adapter that adapts the RCA plugs on the Wii to the 1/8" stereo plug on the transmitter. The adapter costs about $2 and looks like this:
The other thing you need is a good small FM radio and ear buds.
I tried cheap units but found that they tend to lose the transmitter signal easily and scan to a different radio station not mention the sound quality is poor.
I settled on a Motorola radio adapter that fits on some old V66 cellphones that I had lying around. I'm sure the adapter was expensive in its day but now a new one can be had for about $5 on eBay. It never strays and I can hear the sound anywhere in the house.
With this setup, when I'm cycling, the wind whistles in my ears and stereo effect is amazing.
