Has anyone managed to board the blimp on the flying chicken game? I nearly did today. I could not quite get up to the top until just before I ran out of time, so I was up there but did not have time to land on it.

If you got up there and landed, did anything cool happen?

I didn't even know you could!

I'm going to have to try that tonight. I love how much stuff is hidden in these games :)

By boarding the blimp, do you mean landing on the bull's eye on the blimp? If that's what you mean, then I have done that. There's a bull's eye with a center spot that awards you 100 points and you get a message that you have completed the goal. You are then awarded a numerical score instead of a yards flown score, and it will eventually unlock more levels. (I've gotten to the expert level.) If that's not what you are asking, I've never tried to land anywhere on the blimp except for the bulls-eye. I did fly up to the top of the volcano and land there once just for fun but there's nothing up there but a bunch of rocks.

I've been wondering, however, if anyone knows if there is a level past expert. It would be fun to unlock a "free flight" like the free cycling where you can fly around anywhere you want for thirty minutes. You can fly anywhere you want now but you run out of time pretty quickly.

I use the flying chicken to explore the island. You can board the blimp anytime but you can also keep landing on the targets and get more time. It is a great way to explore the island from above to find places for other games, like the island bike free ride. Note, as soon as you board the blimp, you finish the game, so don't try to do it too soon. The more targets you hit, the more time you get. So far I have not gotten beyond Expert level, hoping for a "free fly" :)

I have some problems at the chicken flight. :(
I understand a 200 pounds* chicken cannot fly very well, but I don't find out what's so worse with my kind of flying. To flutter faster helps just as little as do it stronger. Is the rhythm very important?

On the other side, I don't understand why the chicken sinks so slowly if I do realy nothing.
So I seldom hit in the middle of the targets (more by chance than by ability).

* No problem, because my BMI is only in the upper area of "ideal".
(I at least missing one important quality to be a dwarf.) ;)

I find that my chickens flying is based on the up and down movements of my whole body. You can make the chicken fly by flexing your knees up and down and not even flapping. You go forward by leaning forward and back by leaning back. To sink to a target faster stand upright and don't move so you float down. Leaning forward or back will move you those ways so you can center yourself. You'll notice a small shadow on the target as you come down so if you line that up with where you want to land it gives you an idea where you are coming down.

Be careful of flapping too much. I got so into the game one night that the next morning I could barely raise my arms!

There are actually three levels of chicken.

Using English translations of the French names, they are Beginner, Advanced, and Extreme. Beginner begins at the edge of the basin and ends on the ship. Advanced ends on the blimp above the big rock at the end of the beach. Extreme ends on the blimp, but this time up at the top of the mountain, and there is a landing platform on top of the mountain.

After plummeting downward over and over many times, I finally figured out that if I lean backwards while flapping, it gives me upward lift. I also found it helpful to come in for a landing on the targets from some height so I have more time to adjust my position to land on the highest scoring spot.

Happy flapping! 8-)

Has anyone noticed that if you get behind one of the seagulls you seem to get more airspeed?

First time I've heard of being behind a seagull as a good thing!
