Hi, I'm new to this site and have found lots of valuable information, but not the answer to my particular problem - I hope I'm posting to the correct board - I need a "hint". I've been stuck on the volcano for a week. I feel like an idiot, but I keep cycling around the volcano and the castle and can't find my way down. I've jumped off cliffs and into rivers, followed waving mii's, but no luck. How do I get out of here?? Thank you in advance for the help.

Follow the road in front of the castle and it will take you back down to just under the waterfall. Head straight out the gate in the front of the castle, follow the road around the lake and into the tunnel. Ride it down staying to the right.

Have you found your way down the mountain? I'm still having trouble finding all 20 beach balls. I've found 19 so far. I read a different thread that shared where the all are but it was too confusing to understand. Guess I'll keep looking!

Not sure if you are asking or not? Don't read further if not
Most beginners miss the ball on the dry lakebed. Go up the road above the resort, heading towards the swinging bridge keeping your eyes open to the right you will see a ramp that is just before a tunnel opening. Another way is to follow the cliff face after coming out of the manmade tunnel. Just stay close to the edge and you will find the tunnel opening. You have to go throught the tunnel, pop the balloon and return out the tunnel. There is a cheat to get there when you startracing to get all the balloons but I won't reveal that yet :D Let me know if this is not the one you are looking for. :geek:

I DID find my way down the mountains, thanks for asking. Although now I'm afraid to go back up in case I get "stuck" again. :D

And as I found my way down, I ended up in a new area I hadn't been in before, clicked off the gray areas, and got my new bike the next day. I haven't been looking for the balloons, so I usually only get a couple on each ride. It's hard enough biking "uphill" without having to cruise back and forth for those darn balloons!!

I think the advantage of going through the various levels of cycling is that you learn your way around the island and won't get lost as much. It's starting to feel like my neighbourhood these days, I can usually quite quickly see exactly where I am and know where to go next except for some of the ledges that look quite similar.
