I have found out that you can make a Mii act as if he wants to jump off the roof, and not at a place where it would normally jump off, either.

The other day I was running the short run, following the cat that goes over the rooftops, when, at a narrow section of the rooftop, there was a bottleneck of Miis. Some were running towards me and some were just behind me. Now, sometimes in this situation, when a Mii is running towards me but cannot move to one side to avoid hitting me because it will then hit another Mii, it will turn completely around so that it jogs the other direction. In this case, however, there wasn't even room for one of the Miis to do that because there was another Mii behind it.

So, the algorithm got a bit fuzzed and the Mii tottered on the edge of the roof, wiggling his arms as if it were about to jump, but did not. It just stood there as the other Miis and I passed it.

There may be other situations in which this will happen. I haven't tested all the routes. It might even be possible to do this while cycling if the route is narrow enough. I'm thinking here that the steel ramp might be promising in this regard. ;)

I tried something similar while cycling through the long tunnel between the ruins and hotel, on the side of the volcano, if you know where I mean. Anyway, there are those cut outs or windows on the side where you can see the ocean and I drove through one and then back into the tunnel through the neighboring cut out.

Okay, I admit it. I did not do it on purpose - I swerved while wiping the persperation out of my eyes and thought I was a goner for a split second. But it was pretty cool - I did not know there was any type of ledge there - now I have to go back and see if it is possible to weave in and out of them. Cool spot.

Cool, indeed. I'm going to have to try this myself. Do you remember which window you went out of?

Right, I've done it too, but on purpose. The pillars are set back slightly from the outer edge of the windows, so there is a tiny ledge outside each pillar. And before you get any funny ideas, no, the tiny ledges do not extend beyond the window zone.

Anyway, the cycling space on the tiny ledge is similar to riding around the hotel - there is a ledge at the base of the hotel walls, but the consequences of falling off this one aren't as severe as falling off the tiny ledges behind the pillars.

Not exactly fun with Miis but an observation of Mii behavior while cycling.

If you stop next to a clapping Mii with your dog (pet of your choice) and ring the bell, the Mii will jog in place, ring again and it will return to clapping.

I have been having Miis falling down all over the place recently. One fell right in front of my bike but slithered away like a snake before I could run the little bugger over.

I'll have to try the pet dog trick with the clapping Miis.

I nearly hit a Mii the other day while jogging. My Mii tripped at the same time the Mii in front of me tripped. I thought, for a second, at last, I'll at least be able to fall on a Mii, if not actually hit one, but no, he snaked away just at the last moment, as in your case. Nearly there, but not quite. :o

Hi Both,

A short while ago coming back (from an uneventfull run no pet in town) through the tunnel that leads up to
the castle ,I ran straight over one that had fallen right in front of me- there was no way I could have missed the little
bugger-was very disappointed that there was no blood 'he he'  :D :D :D

Keep trying to capture this moment again but no luck, spose you have to be there at the exact same time perhaps?

Kind Regards
Auldnewbie

If only Nintendo would make a 'gore' version of this game. Run over Miis and get more points. They could make you work at it. Something like you have to charge up the bike by attaining a certain speed or something before you could run over a Mii.

I wonder whether there are versions or at least, games like this, in Japan. The Japanese game market is, um, a bit different and many, many games are never released in the West. Of course, that's mainly because many of these games have, as it is put, an erotic component that wouldn't be appreciated, or perhaps even legal, in the West.

For the non-erotic games, some of it is, of course, down to the fact that some of these games are put out on a tight budget and there is no money for localisation or foreign marketing. Some of it is down to the fact that they are satires on Japanese insitutions. The others, though, I don't know. The TV channel here in France that does video game reviews is heavily into Japanese culture and does, from time to time, do reviews on games only released in Japan. Some of them look as if they would work well in the West, but for some reason, they are no plans to release them here.

Japanese games do have a different feel to them, I must admit. If you have the time and the money, you can download onto the Wii the game Zombie Panic in Wonderland. This is a Japanese game released out to the Western market. The music, the art, etc, are very, very different from what you would expect to find in a similar type Western game.
