Grapefruit is an excellent source, of vitamin C. But I'm interested, about the substance called pectin. I heard that the red grapefruit juice lower, the cholesterol level. Have you tried this diet? Does it, really help people that have high triglycerides levels?
I don't know anything about grapefruits but this sounds like yet another diet gimmick. The only trustworthy 'gimmick' in dieting is to eat a healthy, balanced diet and to exercise every day, such that you burn more calories than you take in. That's it. The rest is just a vain attempt to speed up the process.
If you want to lose weight, if you want to get into shape, the only thing you can do is change your lifestyle. All the rest is folly.
