I came to this forum some couple of years ago hoping to find a group of equally committed Wii Fit users willing to help, and I found them along with their helpful advice. It is now I come here to ask for advice which my parents do not quite know how to answer, or at least help to change my state of mind.
A few weeks ago my father asked I set up the Wii Fit Plus for him and I happily obliged, a little bored with everything else. I chose to go back on as my father had, and found that I was getting back into the thick of it. In a week or two, I had lost six pounds and gained a bit of muscle, which I found very motivating.
Eventually I had a visit from my cousins, and we eventually chose to go on something local to France which is basically cycling on a massive cart down a now disused railway track. At the end of my trek I realised both my hands were injured and my left foot was slightly sprained. This put a bit of a hole in my routine and I was forced to stop for a few days.
When i returned it all began going horribly wrong. I was prepared to gain a little every now and then, but since my return it has been nothing but gain and my hard work is going up in flames. This is despite the fact I Wii Fit every day, am cutting down massively on all foods and regularly go on long walks. This is making me feel like I should not eat anything and I am also becoming very depressed. I reach out to anyone who can stand such a long read to give me any advice you can.

You might be putting on muscle which weighs more than fat. This is likely, especially as you haven't worked out for some time.
I'm having the same problem at the moment. I don't need to lose that much more to hit my normal weight, but nothing is working, even though I am working out more than ever. However, I have started lifting weights in addition to my WiiFit routine, so I think I am putting on muscle. If not, then I have just hit a lull and have to work through it.
It is possible, that, just as I have done, you have hit a lull. These things happen. Keep working, though, and eventually, your metabolism will start working the way it is supposed to do.
Oh, just a thought. Are you taking any medication that might be affecting your metabolism?
By the way, aside from your injury, how was the Randorail? I live in France and have often thought about doing it, but haven't got round to it as yet.

I seem to remember something about the Wii Fit system not being able to recognize muscle-mass as opposed to fat-mass, so your BMI readings could be off. And it's also true that muscle weighs more than fat. You may simply be too fit for Wii Fit!
@coloharpare This sounds quite plausible as the Wii, being a machine, would not easily be able to tell the difference. Thanks for the straightforward answer. My family is now giving meals to me which are filling but won't cause me to gain too much.
@lajoggeuse Thank you for commenting as well, it's good to know I'm not the only one this is happening to.
At the minute I'm taking no medication or other drugs that should be affecting my metabolism. I stay away from caffeine and booze for the most part. In fact I haven't had tea for weeks and booze for two whole months, and I have had hardly any alcohol in my life.
The Randorail, known to us as the Velo rail (just what it's called), is a great experience, and I recommend it, but go with some friends, the main reasons being:
A) On your way forwards anyone coming back has priority. If they have priority it means that you have to lift your cart off the tracks, and it weighs a lot. It helps if the people with you are strong, as you often need around four to lift it.
B) Downhill is relatively easily, but uphill is very tiring. Get somebody to help share the load.

Just for reference you should start taking waist measurements and seeing if they are going down. There's actually a place for you to record it in Wii Fit Plus. I haven't lost any weight in two months but my waist measurement has gone down by almost an inch. This is a great test of the whole muscle/fat thing and it at the very least helps you feel like you're on the right track.

I know this is an old thread and the urgency has passed, but I thought I would share another perspective on this issue.
I was working out and losing weight just as the OP had shared then I started having a problem.
I thought that I was all of a sudden "retaining water". My feet seemed to be swelling - especially my left foot. I started to get a little concerned about this "water retention" (I'm not a spring chicken).
At the same time I also was experiencing pain in my feet but more pain in my left foot.
DAH - I finally put two and two together and realized that the "water retention" may be swelling and that I may have injured myself.
Turns out that I had a stress fracture in my left foot and that was causing swelling and the swelling was effecting my weight on the scales.
Fluctuation in water retention - for whatever reason - will be a huge factor on the scales.
Pay attention to your body and keep on keeping on!
