Hello,
I have used my Wii Fit for the last 6 months and have made significant progress (50+ lbs lost)
My concern is that the valuable info stored on Wii Fit that contains my daily progress may somehow be lost and I would be unable to recover it. Is there anyway to make a backup ???
Thanks

I know you can put data from the Wii console onto an SD card. Not sure of the way it works though. Maybe read your Wii manual?

Get an SD card (or two) - SanDisk makes ones with official Nintendo branding. I have a pair of SanDisk 1GB ("for Wii") cards.

The card goes in the slot behind the flip-out panel on the front of the Wii (the one with the red Sync button behind it).

In the Wii menu, click the round "Wii" button in the lower left, then the big button on the left (not the one with a spanner/wrench, then the next left-hand button, then the next one. Here you will see a grid of boxes showing your saved game-states, and two tabs at the top, "Wii" and "SD Card". Make sure the "Wii" tab is active, then click the game-state you want to back up. You get two or three choices depending on which version of the Wii system software you have, (Copy, Delete - or - Transfer, Copy, Delete). Click Copy and follow the prompts.

You can only have one backup of a game-state on any one card, and to make another you must first switch to the SD Card tab and delete the previous backup before switching back to the Wii tab and making another copy. This is a bit nervous-making but you will get used to it.

Hi There...
i am looking to buy Wii Fit .The Wii Fit is largely yoga based, and to some extent therefore more aimed at toning your body then losing weight. Some of the exercises and games are fun, so working out is more enjoyable, but it will not cause any dramatic changes in your weight if you already work out fairly regularly already.
I hope you will find this information helpful for your work out.
