Are you are getting bored of the same running route in Wii Fit? Been round the island too many times? Well, getting alternative routes is easy.

All you have to do is outrun the Mii that you are following when there is a dog nearby. You will then follow that do instead of the Mii. The dog will then lead you round alternative routes (all still the same length).

This morning I got to run behind a waterfall and then along the beach, complete with the sea washing in and out, and seagulls flying overhead.

If you can't outrun the Mii normally, just shake the controller quickly to cheat for just long enough to overtake.

Hey, this is really sneaky! I'll go back to running and try it out. I'd love to see the island a little differently.

I'll try that. I did get taken a new way by a dog, over the roofs but that was just in the short version.

That's interesting...is that in the free jogging or jogging plus option?? I'm also a bit bored at going round the island in the free option and not being able to go wherever I want like you can in the free cycling!

I'v tried this twice now, once with my daughter and once myself. I'd never have found out if not for this thread.

The cats appear in the new jogging game in Wii Fit Plus.

You're right! It seems the dogs are more common in Short and Long Run, rather than Island Lap, at least in Wii Fit. I have no idea about Wii Fit Plus.

I've had the cats take me on several different routes, but never been able to choose a route myself--I shall carry on and hope to unlock further Wii Plus secrets
