I've unlocked several new levels on the Island Cycling, and tried a couple, but I finally decided to master the beginning level before moving on. This is having the advantage of allowing me to familiarize myself with the island a little at a time. I'm finally getting a feel for where things are in this little corner of the world! A couple days ago it took me over 3 miles to find all the flags. I just couldn't find one of them! lol. Today I tried the course four times and managed to get my distance down to .913 miles and I now understand the layout much better. But I'm still only getting three stars. I'm just not sure what route will give me four stars. I can't see it! I'd really love to get the four stars before moving on to the more advanced course. I'll give it a few more tries.
Pam

Ok, this is my second time trying the advanced course, but the first time I was completely clueless about how it worked (took me almost 4 miles to find all the flags!). This time I did it in 2.751 miles and got three stars! Not bad! It will probably take me a while to get the mileage down and get all the stars. No rush. I'll just stay here until this course is familiar to me.

Paul,
Weight Watchers meetings are loaded with these pithy little mottos to keep help keep goals in mind, but that one is my favorite. I try very hard to remember it when I find myself scrounging around the kitchen looking for food for no better reason than boredom.

Yes, food gets used to fill emotional needs, like loneliness after the loss of a loved one. It can feel good to eat, but it does not solve the problem! And of course, it can cause problems. There must be better things to do than eat, especially now that there is Wii Fit!

Found a better route for advanced level today. Got it down to 2.7 miles and just 10 minutes! I got three stars! Yesterday it took me over 4 miles. Now, if I can just find that route again tomorrow.... lol. Still don't have the advanced island memorized yet. I'm going to keep working on this level until I get four stars. Then I'll reward myself by moving to the next level.

You're back Pam!
I am doing the beginner level for the first time since I moved on from it in the beginning. This time I am enjoying it and conquering it. I was hopelessly lost in just that little area the first time.
