I got this game today and so far I'm liking it. It's fun to try to match the moves of the onscreen dancer and is actually a very active game. It's multi player so it would be fun to do it with someone (if I could find someone who wanted to play).

Hi, I was wondering about this game . Is it worth getting then? I can't see how it works out how you do the moves - is it accurate? I like the look of it and it seems to be not a bad price in some shops... I'm terrible at dancing though!!
It's fun and I doubt very accurate. You only hold the remote in your right hand and do the moves that the on screen character is doing. It scores you as great, ok or missed for the moves. It's really made as a party type game to be played with other ppl but I have fun just doing my "moves" to the music and trying to match the dancer. It's $40 here and I would definitely not pay that much for it. It's more in the range of a $20 game compared to other things I have.
If you like dance games I can thoroughly recommend Ravin Rabbids TV Party, which has a fantastic set of dance games. On expert mode they are really quite a good little workout.
I also has the plus side that the rest of the games are great too, especially for parties

I got Just Dance about a month ago and I LOVE it! I got it for $30 US on sale at Best Buy and I think that is the regular price on Amazon. I had been thinking about getting Dance Dance Revolution but this was cheaper and I am glad we got this because my arms are getting a way better workout than they would have on DDR. I usually do about 45 minutes of it two or three times a week instead of my half hour of free step.
We have a ball with the Raving Rabbids. We had a family get together about a month ago and 4 of us played. Beastie Boarding is a favorite! It's made by Ubisoft that makes Just Dance so the dance is similar.
Just dance has a lot of good songs on it for all generations, but it favors more of the 80's genre. I paid $39.99 at Wal-Mart for it, and I think we get that much enjoyment out of it. If your not in shape it will wear you out though, mt heart gets beating so hard that I feel like I am going to have a stroke LOL! Here are some songs that I can remember on it:
WHO LET THE DOGS OUT GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN YOU CAN'T TOUCH THIS I GET AROUND (BEACH BOYS) THE MASHED POTATO COTTON EYED JOE A LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION (ELVIS REMIX) THE BIRD (50'S SONG)
It is pretty well rounded out though, great game for multiplayer mode

I agree that this is a great game if you want a really heart-pounding aerobic workout. I enjoy it a lot. I tend to keep going back to the same songs, about half a dozen or so that I enjoy most, including several of those mentioned in the previous post. One thing I don't like about it is that you can't set up a "routine" and get a good 20 or 30 minute workout. You choose each song one at a time. They last 3 or 4 minutes and then you choose another. This means you are constantly starting and stopping. I jog in place in between songs to keep my heart rate up while I'm picking the next one.
As for accuracy, I don't think it is all that great. There are times when I am positive I'm right on the beat but for some reason the game doesn't sense it -- but I have this problem in Wii Fit too (Kung Fu and step come to mind). Sometimes I have trouble following the moves (I'm not a good dancer) but I follow along as best I can. Nevertheless, the music is upbeat and it's fun, and it gives me a really good workout. If you can get a partner (or 2 or 3!) to exercise with you, then you can have friendly competitions to see who gets the best score. I'd definitely recommend this game. I found it cheaper on Amazon than at my local stores.
This game isn't meant or marketed to be a workout so they don't worry about calories or stringing things together. I think it's great that they put out games like this that get people up off the couch. If they marketed it as a workout they would limit their sales because only those inclined to look for exercise would buy it.
