The weather will soon be warm, at least I hope it will, so here is a simple, low-calorie salad for summer days. The grapes provide this salad with a sweet flavour and the peppers with a bit of crunch.

Ingredients:

Lettuce (whichever type you prefer)
Grapes (whichever type you prefer)
Green peppers (bell peppers)

Method:

Wash the lettuce and tear it into pieces.

Wash the grapes and cut them into halves.

Wash the peppers and cut them into bit-sized chunks.

Toss all the ingredients together.

Serve with a light touch of vinegar and oil dressing or with a squeeze or two of lemon juice.

Romaine(also known as cos).

Oh yes, I should have said that it is best to use seedless grapes. :) I usually use green ones of whatever variety that is available.

I do this type of salad in the summer. I like the Red Flame seedless grapes, and I LOVE it with a dash of good quality balsamic vinegar as the dressing. Yum!!

Another good salad is spinach leaves, fresh sliced strawberries, feta or goat cheese and balsamic vinegar. oh man, that sounds SO good right now.... Gonna have to go grocery shopping later. :D

That sounds good. I'll give that a try when the weather is a bit warmer as it sounds like the perfect salad for eating on the balcony.

I'm just getting into the whole eating healthy and getting in shape idea and this sounds like a very tasty and healthy salad. I'll be sure to buy the supplies to make this salad next time I go to the store. Thanks for sharing such a great idea!
