But you can't tell what you do each time anyway, can you? On the balloon ride, you only ever see your best time--no matter how long it takes you. At least that is how it is for me.
Ah, yes, but now I can't see my time for breaking my old real record either, because my Wii thinks the record is zero.

News update: I have a dialogue open with Nintendo. Apparently it is a bug (duh), but nobody else has ever reported it (figures). They were confused, and thought I would be able to replace the zero with my next real record (because a non-zero score is necessarily better than a zero). I set them straight on what kind of record it is (lower is better), so we shall see.
On the plus side, I have a solution to the problem: I went to a local sporting goods shop and bought a stopwatch, with splits, lap time mode, count up/down timer, etc., and best of all, a split memory so I can pick it up right-way up or upside down to hit the stop button. So I don't need the built-in timer.

Funny, you would think that there should be a file somewhere that you could modify or delete to correct the problem with Nintendos help. When I first saw this post I was going to say that if you guys are going to cheat I'm not going to play but its good to see we are all honest. I'll be back here in a couple of months to persue DiDi and that 15 minute barrier In the meantime I'll just lurk in the background.

Yer staying outside for a couple more months in Nova Scotia? Wow, it must be warmer than Minnesota where I grew up. I thought you'd be back on the island sooner than that.

Unbelievable warm for this time of year. In the 30s C everyday this week, too hot to even golf. Hurricane Earl expected this weekend so I may need to practise running See you on the island in a few weeks.

How has your visit with Earl been? Hope he has had better things to do than cause you trouble.

All is well. Not near as bad as Juan was a few years ago. Some trees down, power out foa a day but not all bad. Only 1 known death, a drowning trying to retie a boat that got loose from its moorings. Back on the golf course today Sun is shining and all is well in NS

Ah, but I can't tell when I set a real new best time, because the game thinks my best time is zero seconds, so any time I do is worse than my so-called best. Still, the stopwatch will give me a reasonable measure.
