I normally do everything I can to avoid the female trainer, but today I forgot, so I ended up with her, only her hairstyle had changed. Normally she has short hair but today she had her hair up in a bun with sticks in it. Very Japanese looking, the style, but I can't figure out why she has changed. Has anyone else seen this?

Yes, I have. In fact, she has had three hairstyles for me. One is the bun thing, the next is bangs to the side and smooth in the back, and the third is bangs to the side and sort of messy in the back (you can see this along her ears sort of). Anyway, although, I used to see the bun quite frequently, she hasn't had it for several months now.

One thing that puzzles me is that her hair is short. So how does she get it in that bun?

Hair extensions, maybe?

Well, lots of women keep the same hairstyle but I have to whack mine off for summer. I can't stand the heat of it on my neck and back. Maybe she's like that. I grow it longer in the fall and winter.

She changes her hairstyle every once in a while and there are two other changes that rotate: sometimes you log on and get the other trainer, he says, "I hope you don't mind, but I'll be filling in for your regular trainer.", and, two, sometimes when you start to excercise, the mat is empty and then the trainer comes on a few seconds later rubbing her neck, saying, "I think I stayed up to late last night."

Someone on another discussion board listed these as glitches in the game, but I think it was programmed that way to try to break the monotony.

Yup, the bloke does that as well. In the French translation, he excuses himself thoroughly, and says that he went to bed truly late last night. It's certainly no glitch. Stuff like that only happens because it was programmed that way, unlike the Death Plummet Cheats in the cycling, which may be genuinely a bug.

I don't know that they are glitches. Some probably are. The other day I turned up the grassy ledge just below the metal spiraling path and bumped into the wall at the very start. Lo and behold- the mountain right there was just a thin wall and there was a lake to the right of the wall! How I wished I had not been hurrying to the left and had gone right instead! But of course, it is not normally there.

The jump off the mountain in to the dry lake bed- that does not seem to be a glitch as you cannot see the saddle of the rock until you are off the ledge. That had to be added intentionally and you cannot get the to DLB unless you dive onto the saddle.
