Hello Jess,

I got Wii fit plus for my birthday in November, so I'm quite new too.

You'll find this forum really helpful and friendly. Good luck with your goals. Let us know how you are getting along.

:)

It's good to meet you. I hope that WiiFit Plus helps you as much as it as helped me.

One thing about goals: make certain that you don't try to lose too much weight too fast. It can lead to crash dieting or disappointment or both. A steady loss is best, although it can be frustrating at times. :)

Couldn't agree more, slow and steady is the way to do it.

There is a huge amount of evidence that the faster you lose weight, the more likely you are to put it on, the fast it goes back on, and the more you are likely to end up weighing. That's why yo-yo dieting is so bad, many people actually end up putting on more weight over time, despite constantly going on crash diets.

The general consensus seems to be that one to three pounds a week is a healthy rate to lose it at. My aim is to lose one pound a week on average. It takes a while to lose it, but it tends to stay off.
