I seem to remember reading about routes for the island view 20 balloons to get the fastest time. I can't seem to find them now. I was lurking then and didn't understand the descriptions of the routes.

Here is the one I tried and it took me about 25 min but I am very slow. The miles was a little over 8 miles.

I started at the triangle before the castle for balloon 1. Then on to behind the castle to 2, and up the Hill to get 3. Then death plummett to the dry lake bed for 4. Coming out the tunnel I turn right and follow to end, across rope bridge to the plateau. Cross plateau, hit 5, pick up pet, and jump off going right on the black road. Hit 6 and 7 on the grass before and after the bridge, go on to the ruins for 8. Left on the black road out of the ruins and under the man-made tunnel/bridge. Turn left out the tunnel and head down to beach for 9. Go back up grass, cross road, and go up hill for 10. Go toward sand road and stay on the middle level to hit 11 at the end. I don't know an easier way down from here, so go back around and take dirt road back to waterfall. Go past waterfall, over bridge, and head towards the tunnel where the steel ramp is, don't take that tunnel. Turn left up small grass ramp and follow to end, hit 12, and jump down turning right facing lighthouse. Cross wind mills and go on to lighthouse for 13. Follow fence down or black road into town for 14, 15, 16. I would like to jump over ramp instead of taking the bridge but I don't think the pet follows you. Go over bridge, turn right and hit 17. Head toward beach for 18, 19, 20.

Not sure if this is a bad route or if I am just slow.

Excellent you found them all. The issue here is how you want to pop the balloons, with or without cheats and death plummets. The new Wiki is an excellent place to start. It has basic directions and some advanced tips. There are also links to maps etc (done that way so those who don't want to see won't) The thread Re: SPOILER ALERT: free cycling speed balloons below 20 minutes has my route which I think is currently the fastest.
In your directions you say left after the dry lake bed tunnel, that would put you down by the resort eventually and the beach not the rope bridge. The thread about 26.5 miles also has a lot of tips, it is long but doesn't take long to go through.
That should get you on the right road :D happy cycling, if you need more help, you are in the right forum, everyone here is friendly and willing to lend a hand.

Tracy, I got my Wii fit in late November and I think this morning was 110 days without missing. I always try to do at least 30 minutes but as I am semi retired and it is winter here :( I have been known to do 3 or 4 hours in a day. Back then I didn't know about this forum at first and just fumbled my way around the different games. Now I mostly cycle as it gives me the most exercise I think and I always find things there to keep me interested and motivated. They have designed this game very well I think as I seem to always be motivated to go just a little longer or faster etc. It does take practise and in the beginning I never thought I would be out front either. Happy Cycling

Awesome! I actually got this for my 9 yr old in Feb. We have played it every single day. Im just curious as to how much weight you have lost. I mostly do the cycling and I have lost 7 pounds in 18 days. I know thats not much, but man I feel so much better. I have really bad anxiety attacks in the am and I have found that if I really get to cycling in the evenings and really work it out... the anxiety is sooo much less than usual. I started yesterday and made sure I did a good solid 15 minutes before work and a solid 45 minutes in the evening.. hoping to shed this weight. Looking forward to reading more from yall.

Unfortunately I am not the motivation person for losing weight, I have actually gained a little but I think I am firming up and muscle weighs more that fat. I am not rellly way over weight, I just wanted to tone up my stomach.

Now you mention it tracy, I haven't had an anxiety attack on a day I've used the programme either.

So its not my imagination! I'm only 33.......... but like everyong else I have my own problems and demons to deal with. But, I really feel mentally better the next morning after a good workout. Kiwi, how long have you been doing the Wii Fit and what is your weight loss? Just wondering about others.

jvv i edited to say right out of tunnel, thanks.

I found the thread with the routes and it was the one titled "Death Plummets..."

those routes don't seem any shorter than mine. i think i am just slow. i keep getting stuck facing walls. i keep back-tracking and trying plummets and waste time. i am also just SLOW....

i will check out your route jvv. we should compare miles, maybe that will tell us which one is shorter.

Don't feel bad about being "slow", it takes time to learn the routes well enough; where you should ease up, where you can push ahead, the best way to turn here and the safest way not to lose your pet there. You can go back and practice things over and over until you can do them easily, and that will cut time off your future runs. We're really a bit obsessive here, but since that seems to reduce anxiety.... why not?
