Thanks for all the replys and tips. I feel more motivated now plus I have some new ideas to put into action
My advice: after examining your calorie intake, try adding some aerobic exercises to your routine: jogging and hula hoop. If you're not using something to raise the Wii Board up for the free step, then you should, as this will definitely increase the amount of calories you burn off for this exercise. This should get the weight loss process started again.
Whatever you do, don't give up. As I said, you're not gaining weight, so you just need to refine your method a bit and you will start losing weight again.

Thanks, I'll hunt around for something to raise the board off the ground. Thats something that I hadn't thought of before.

Why should the waist smaller and the weight reduced? If you can do this training over an hour duration every day, you must fit enough and when you feeling good and healthy I can't see any advanced by loosing weight.
My goal is to lose about 2 stone At the moment I'm classed as overweight and my BMI is 28:65 I'm not that far off becoming obese.
The next thing on your check list after exercise is eating habits. Food diaries are good, planning out your meals and snacks for the week is also good. Reading boxes in the market is very very good. After eating habits the next check is stress level and general health. Stress messes with your metabolism so be sure you're managing stress effectively. Sleep is also important. I struggle to lose weight largely because I have insomnia and my body isn't getting enough sleep to balance everything out./quote]
A food diary is something that I will try. Starting from Monday I'm going to plan out everything I eat. I sometimes feel stressed. At the moment there's the threat of redundancy hanging over us Trouble is with me when I feel stressed I sleep more!

Oh! I calculate from your first posting a 25.9 BMI. Maybe an error in my conversion to m and kg.

I also think a food diary will be helpful.

Don't get me wrong, I love Wii Fit, but in truth it really isn't a huge exercise plan. It's great to have some fun while getting a bit of exercise in but if you really want to tone up, gain strength and lose weight you need more than WiiFit can offer. EA Sports Active is a great program or if you like the idea of boxing Gold's Gym Cardio is another real caloried burner.
I agree with monkey, Wii Fit is great, but it isn't a magic bullet for your fitness, especially cardio and serious weight loss. It is however very good for toning and muscle work. Personally I'm mostly doing the yoga at the moment. I have almost the entire yoga set programmed in as my personal workout. I'll probably add some more exercises to that to work my muscles even more.
Things like EA Sports Active are better for cardio and weight-loss, but even they will be of limited use unless you also eat properly.
Sadly a lot of people get Wii Fit (or one of the others) and expect it to work miracles, and then get disappointed when it doesn't.
I would use it as a great way to help tone up, and to keep active between more cardio based workouts. I currently go running in the morning, but when it starts to get cold, rainy and dark again I will probably get EA Sports Active 2.0 which is due in a couple of months. However you only use EA Sports Active for three or four days a week, so I will probably make Wii Fit my exercise for the other days to get me active in the morning.
