Hello all :D
I'm Sue, a new granny too. :D Husband bought me WiiFit last June, and followed it up with WF+ in October. Since then, I've lost nearly two stone. I'm currently trying to get to grips with Bird's Eye Bull's Eye, super-advanced. They warned it was tough...! :o
Cheers, Sue

Hello! I'm new too!

Wow, you've done really well to lose that much weight. How often and how long do you play Wii Fit and is it only Wii Fit/plus you play or is there any other that you use?

I am playing every day but have not lost any weight at all....grrr!

Welcome, hope yo like it here :D

Wow! i'm on my third week so really great to hear from someone who's dedicated so much time to it and has had such a great achievement. Let us in on some of your wisdom about weight loss, please! has it all been down to wiifit or do you do other forms of exercise?

Well done you.

I try to spend half an hour in the morning and half an hour in the afternoon most days. At our daughter's wedding last November, I met the magnificent Medlock. He'd swapped half an hour's wii fit for half an hour's drinking and lost four stone in a year. We got labeled the wiifit geeks!

The key is to stick at it, I think. :D

Best wishes,
Sue

Just remember one pound equals 3500 calories. If you want to lose weight you have to burn them off or not eat them. Exercising and wise food choices will help the pounds come off. Keeping a food diary really helps to keep track of what you are eating and ready labels can help make healthy choices. It's amazing how many calories and grams of fat there are in some foods. It's not hard to eat up all that your exercise burns off.

So true. I lost some weight and was really excited about it, then got busy, stopped exercising as much, got back my sweet tooth and now have gained two pounds. I want desperately to STOP IT right now- especially the sweet tooth. Just trying to figure out how.

Yankee here, please clarify how much a stone is in weight loss. I THINK it' equal to 10 pounds but not sure.

Heh, limey here :)

One stone is 14 pounds. Or about 6.6kg for our European friends (or younger brits).

Did you know google will do unit conversions for you?

Type "1 stone in pounds" into google and it will give you the answer. It can convert pretty much anything to anything else. It can also do currency conversions e.g. "15 usd in gbp".
