HI Renee,
This will be my last post for two weeks. I'm heading out of town today and won't be back until Valentines' day.
Congrats on getting your Wii Fit Plus! You did get the PLUS version, right? If not, you can get the upgraded software for just $20. I got mine from Amazon.com.
Three hours your first day out?? Make sure you don't do too much too soon! You don't want to hurt yourself and give yourself a set-back. Slow and steady progress is the way to go. Believe me, I've had to learn that one the hard way.
My routine is a little different, and probably not too helpful for you. I'm recovering from a knee injury, so I'm doing all the yoga and strength exercises that involved balancing on one leg. The only reason I can do it at all is I'm just coming off a couple of MONTHS worth of physical therapy. This is the "at home" program worked out by my doctor, my Physical Therapist and myself.
I do like to start with Super Hula Hoop to warm up. That's fun and pretty easy, but boy do you feel it in the core muscles! It's a great way to get my blood pumping too. I always challenge myself to try and get a few more spins that the last time I did it. That keeps me from relaxing and just giving it a half hearted effort. I'm a little over 1800 spins at six minutes right now, but it took me a while to get to that point.
After that I like the Island Cycling. It's basically just stepping in place, another easy exercise. It's fun cruising around the island looking for the flags. I only just mastered the beginning course and have started working on the Advanced course. I think there are 5 levels, so I have a long way to go with this one.
From there I go on to my PT routine, and I finish up with some stetching. The whole thing takes me about an hour. It would be less but I really get caught up in the Island cycling. lol.
I know the others here will have a bunch of different suggestions. I haven't been using the Wii Fit Plus for very long and have only just barely started to explore the games.
Have fun! Talk to you when I get back from my trip!

Have a nice trip Pam!
Renee, agreed that you should work up gradually to longer sessions, unless your doctor gave you a go ahead.
Many of us are addicted to Island Cycling in the Training Plus section. You can share your successes with us (and learn the cheats) in the Cheats part of the Forum.

LOVING my Wii Fit.
As we say in sign language, "same-same".
Congrats on the little weight loss- that is encouraging for sure.

According to me It is totally depends on your financial situation. The most important thing is to keep at it, so doing the games and exercises you enjoy, even if they are not the most intensive ones, will have more effect than trying to do all the hard ones and getting bored/frustrated and giving up. That's what happened when I used to go to the gym, I just couldn't muster the enthusiasm, so stopped going after a while.

I used to go to the gym, too. I found other people to be the problem there. There were the people who monopolised gym equipment. There were the people who sweated all over it (huge, great puddles). Then there was the TV blasting away, always on something I didn't like, but no-one else would let me change it.
It's much better working out at home. I can go at my own pace. The equipment is always available. I can listen to the music I want to hear.

As predicted on Wednesday Wii Fit Forum is now Fit Game Forum, and has a new look.
Since Wii Fit was released there has been a wave of new fitness games. This winter there is a slew of fitness games coming out, and both the XBox and Playstation 3 are getting new motion capture systems that have the potential to steal a march on Nintendo's Wii Fit. Both EA Sports Active and My Fitness Coach are getting a significant makeover, and not just on the Wii.
So with all this to come, I thought it was time for us to widen our audience a bit Wii Fit is still going to be the main focus for the site, but I want to reflect that it is not longer the only fitness game out there.
Over the next few weeks I'll be tweaking things around so if you spot anything that doesn't work, or that you don't like, please let me know.
i have shred it here please give good comments on it this is a good article i have to me...
