Due to the time of year I'm not getting quite as much time on the Wii Fit plus as I'd like. I'm managing at least 3 times a week, I like doing my set routine mix of yoga and muscle training. I was quite surprised to have the female trainer standing in this morning, I've always had the male. I thought she was going to irritate me, but she's okay. She does speak to you in the same tone that children's TV presenters do !
My weight is going down very slowly, slower than I'd like. As well as Wii fit I do walk over 20,000 steps every day, often more.
I've adapted my diet a little, so hope to see the graph go down a bit !
My son beat me on the advanced cycling, I'm determined to beat him now ! I've now registered my OH, who refuses to accept that he's a little overweight, (must be something wrong with the board ! ).

I did a 45 minute session today and my wii fit piggy has turned bronze. :)

Good to hear that you're losing, even if it's slow. I had dropped 4.5 lbs. since I started my diet a few weeks ago, but... I am not good at sticking to it with life being terribly busy and so little time for healthy cooking. Another problem that I have is that I forget to take my supplements with my food, and then I have to eat more to get them down! My weight is up again, but not all the way up. I have to say that I really am not dieting at all the last week. Wish I had more will power or at least more time to fix the foods I should be eating.

I'm happy to be getting all the balls on my Free Ride cycling course finally, and have begun trying different routes. It has helped not to be climbing the hill from the one by the resort to the one past the tunnel. I like taking that pair in the downhill direction!

I have long dreamed of opening a healthy fast food restaurant in our town; actually I wish someone else would. I know it would go over well, at least here. The chains say they can't make it with healthy food, and I think that is a bunch of baloney. Many people would love to have healthy food available quickly. Baja Fresh does plenty well, and that is healthier than most. It is not drive through fast, but well worth the walk inside and the short wait.

We may be doing well to eat at all since I was laid off Dec. 1. LOL. Really, it is cheaper to eat carby meals and that is what I like. I make brown rice with peas and carmelized onion sauteed in butter- yum! It is carby tasting but provides vegetarian protein, too.

Sorry to hear about your being laid off Kescah. Pity you can't start a healthy fast food outlet. I am at home during the day usually so can just prepare something at home, but if I am out it's hard to find healthy fast food, even the places that do salads have them smothered in mayo ! and everything else is bread of some kind.

I know what you mean about carby meals being cheaper. I think you can try to balance it out a bit by going for the wholemeal/wholegrain versions of pasta and rice etc as you mentioned. The complex carbs aren't so bad, it's the fast burners like white flour and sugar. Do you like porridge/oatmeal ? I find that really fills me up till lunch.
At least you made a good start with your diet, maybe the new year will be a good time to start a new eating regime.

I'm enjoying the advanced cycling but I don't like the cave or that long tunnel with the metal ramp. I'm a bit claustrophobic, you wouldn't catch me in there in real life ! ;)

LOL! The part that gets me is the long rope and wood bridge as I have issues with heights. And that is a double bridge! Two long sections. I like that you can't fall off of it though. :P

Whole grains: When I was younger and had two children, I married a man with 3. A friend said that if we fed them only whole grains, no white, that they wouldn't get cavities in their teeth and it would save us money. That proved true! We used whole grains exclusively, I encouraged them to brush after each meal, and they did not get cavities. All of them, all their childhoods. No cavities. They have mentioned that as adults and appreciate it. So I think of that and think of how the whole grains must affect bones, muscles, etc.

I do like oatmeal, and think I will go have some right now! I forget about that when I am looking for a good breakfast.

No, as I said, I like that you CAN'T fall off it. Can't means can not, if English is a second language for you. Or maybe you just didn't see the contraction. No offense intended. :)

 Sorry I have read very sloppily.
I always looking for such possibilities because my little grandson loves seeing me or himself falling down somewhere. You can clearly see, I never learned correctly English. Only by often using programming languages I understand it a little.

Your English is plenty good and understandable. But I know that with foreign languages, sometimes I have to have things explained to me. Some way or another they always manage to make other languages confusing. :D

I am afraid it has been some time since I last did any Wii exercise, I'm sure we're all in the same boat though. ;)

I intend to start my annual new year makeover on Wednesday. I usually do pretty well at this time of year, I'll set a new goal and try my best. I've made sure there is no more chocolate left over from Christmas to lead me astray.

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas and have a Happy 2010 ! Hope everyone is safe in the bad weather we've had. It's seriously curtailing my daily walking schedule.

Welcome back to reality Alexa. :) Yes, time to get back to work on the Wii. I did manage to keep exercising about 3-4 times a week. I got much faster on the Free Ride cycling course and still have new tricks to try. People are posting some good ways to cut off a little time. It is an endless battle to beat my own time to the 20 balloons and then go find other things to see on the island. It motivates me. And I am adding in some strength training exercises.
