Could everyone post a signature that gives a general description of where you live? It would be fun to know where you are.
To add a signature to a post you must first create one via your User Control Panel. Once created, you can check the Add signature box on the posting form to add your signature. You can also add a signature by default to all your posts by checking the appropriate radio button in your profile. If you do so, you can still prevent a signature being added to individual posts by un-checking the add signature box within the posting form.

That is fun. Another way is to go to User Control Panel (green bar above) and under profile enter your location. I privacy is a concern just be vague, just put province, state or country. This world is getting so much smaller it is neat to know who and where you are talking to. If earthquakes are a worry kescah we don't get them here in the maritimes, just the occassional hurricane, Winter storms aren't all that much fun either. I guess every area has its own things. I couldn't help but worry about hawaii yesterday as I have fond memories of the islands and would hate to a natural disaster hit such a beautiful area.

I think it's a great idea. I always like to know where people are from. And based on my brief experience with this forum, it looks like we have members from all over the world. I just went into my control panel and entered my location. When I post this I'll see if works to post my location at the top of my posts.

Thanks for joining in the fun, Becky.
Jvv; I came from northern Minnesota originally, so I have some awareness of the winter thing. Well below 0 and windy. But as a kid, I loved it. Reality struck when I went back north as an adult.
Kauai had the main island road, circling the edge of the island on three sides, wiped out by the last big hurricane they had. It was just swallowed up by the ocean, along with dream homes. A former paradisaic hotel is still all boarded up- sad. Maybe you've been there since. It was about 8 years ago. The new road is more inland. Suppose you want to fund the trip; I'll go make sure things are ok.

Nice try, if anyone goes it will be me and the wife. I would love to just get a place away from it all and disappear there. It rained so hard while we were there (about 10 years ago) that the road was washed out and we had to backtrack part of the route. 4 inches fell in 1 hour. Gotta watch out for those killer chickens in Kauai too Problem is the flight is soooooooo... long from here. Carribean paradise is more practical but so far haven't found anything close to Hawaii for beauty. Anyway that's enough daydreaming for me, gotta do my workout before physio this morning. Take it easy for a few days and let those old muscles heal
