I have never heard of a wii bike, but if available I would like to know more. I use the balance board and try to step as much as possable. I admit I sometimes do low steps as my calves crampup. Timing and balance is important, too slow and you won't make time, too fast an you mii slows down and complains

Perhaps it helps to put the feet a little more from each other and to stand a little further in front. At least I do it that way and it seams not to bad.

There is such a thing, called the Cyberbike. It is essentially a small exercise bike which can "connect" to a Wii. It comes with a cycling game of its own and can apparently work with at least some others. They missed an opportunity with it, in that it has a mechanical resistance knob. If it had been an electronically controllable one (generally electromagnetic), they could feed back slopes and beaches into real variations of resistance. It also looks like it would be a bit flimsy. Still, I haven't actually seen one out of its box, so I may be wrong...

I just think it would be cool to actually use an excercise bike that could read the wii remote for turns, resistance backfeed for hills etc. Probably would be more realistic exercise than stepping.

Oh no, another Wii toy I need to get! I find that my calves will start to cramp around 10 minutes in but if I keep going it eases off by about 15 minutes. Hubby laughs at me because my legs are hurting but I can't stop because there's the small chance I might beat the best score. He keeps telling me I can stop but he doesn't understand that can't happen unless I cramp up completely and fall off my board!

I only use the board, I enjoy the cycling most of all the activities I think, especially the free cycling. I never 'run' when cycling though, just walk on the spot. The board gets stroppy if you jump ! I expect the bike is expensive, good idea if you have the money and the space though.
I wasn't sure if all of you had the Wii bike or were using the balance board and stepping like a crazy person to "move" your bike. The balance board is what I have used as well and it is really a great work out. I only wish when I fell off the cliff into the water, I actually could feel a bit of that COOL WATER and get reenergized!
