What do you all think about this exercise? I don't usually break a sweat doing it. And I'm not on slow songs anymore. I can feel it in my legs but is it really as good as the cycling for ya? I wish there was something equally addictive for the upper bod.

Try Red Steel 2: it's all about sword action and you have to put a lot of force into some of the blows. Or, if that's not your style, there's the canoe game and the sword game in Wii Sports Resort.

I was trying to walk while someone else here had something on the computer that had music in the background and.... it didn't go well.

You can be cranky about that music. But after paying for music by walking and walking, I delete the ones I don't like. Some that sound ok are hard to walk to, and those go too. There are a few I really like. Those will be enough for me. And there are still a lot of them that I can earn.

Thanks, LJ, canoeing sounds like fun- used to do that as a kid in Minnesota. I don't have Sports Resort but my kids do and I'll try that at their house.

Can someone tell me how to do a U turn? I saw that the information was being told in the arena, but I clicked through it too fast and now can't seem to find a way to get information anymore.

Just click on your Mii and he/she will turn around. If you want to do the turorial again to get info just go back into the stadium. Just before you enter she will ask if you really want to go in again in case you made a wrong turn. Sometimes the arrows are hard to follow.

If you want to up your sweat index I'd recommend springing for a DDR dance mat. I played for a while on just the wiimote without the balance board. I was pretty sweaty but I just couldn't tolerate the lack of camera controls so I eventually gave it up.

If you're playing without an audience you can try my upper body workout method. I used to be a dancer when I was younger and I choreographed routines to some of my favorite songs. It's a thought.

Jvv, thanks! I tried going back into the arena for info but maybe my time for that ran out or something? I can't get info there now. But glad to know how to do the U turns.

Nienna, dance is a good workout. You are right about "when nobody is around". I used to dance in the house to music I liked, but I got laughed at. And at this time I don't have much motivation. That is why I wished that there was something addictive like Walk it Out for the upper body. I need someone to make me do it! lol. The flying chicken is the closest I get. But I do wear weights on my wrists at times to get some exercise.

Try another entrance because you are supposed to be able to always do it. I will try later and let you know. Love the Flying Chickens, I play it with grandkids that love to see Opa act like an idiot :-)

When you go into the arena (in the US version) it asks if you really want to go in, then it asks if you want to review the tutorial. Of course if you're in a different region that might not be the case.

I generally play an hour of wii every day and, when I haven't strained something the day before, I play about 2 to 3 different games to get as much of a full range workout as possible. My best upper body workouts come from wii sports resort (I have an obsession with sword fighting) and the ever addictive Samba de Amigo. To look at it you wouldn't think it's such a workout but I never leave that game without being sweaty. I finished the challenge a couple of months ago and I'm now on a quest for a perfect score in every song. I figure that will take me about 3 years. By that time I'm hoping they decide to put out a new one.

You can get it extremely cheap so you might want to try adding it to your routine.

I'll try another entrance. And I should just force myself to do the Chicken thing. I am available to laugh at myself, although I have some grandkids too. :D I'll also get the Sports Resort one of these days. Thanks guys.
