In the end I found it better to go on to the advanced boxing. The pace is quicker and - for me - this seems to be easier! I now get really good scores. :)

I actually managed the rythym kung fu a lot better today (still not good !)

That's interesting that you find the advanced boxing easier teriona. I am okay with the punches but I find it hard to co-ordinate my feet. I suppose I need to get more used to the basic sequence. I like the freestyle bit at the end !

They should have a free-boxing mode for when you just need to hit stuff at the end of a long day :)

Does anybody have a hard time having your "dodge left/right" moves get registered? I can sometimes get my dodge right or left registered, but rarely get both moves registered. Does anybody else get what I'm talking about ;)

If you go into the boxing section of Wii Sports that comes with the console you can flail away at opponents. Great for getting out aggressions and you can really work up a sweat. The training sessions on that disk are pretty good too.

Has anyone attempted using wrist-bound weights while doing the boxing? I am wondering if this would have a significant impact for the calories burned during a session.

Thanks

Hrm, it might do.

But you should be careful as the added weight makes it harder to stop your punch, which in turn risks damaging your elbows through over-extension.

I just started using 3lb weights. I'm not sure if it will help yet or not. I was careful not to over do it. I used it for the first 200 points, and through two more sets towards the end.

I've done the 10 minute routine just about every day for 22 days now. I score usually anywhere from 1300-1420 points.

I much prefer the Wii Sports boxing matches to rhythm boxing. I work up a real sweat pounding away at my opponent and love 'winning'. I also like the kung fu exercise better than rhythm boxing - I think it's the man's shouty voice that puts me off. The kung fu one doesn't have a voice-over.

Hi,

I like the Rhythm Boxing game but I find I work out hard on it but don't score high. I am co-ordinating my punches well enough but I am wondering if I am blocking correctly. Can someone help me check if I am doing this right? Thanks

Also on the end part where you basically go speed style on your punches is there a special move to "knock out" the bag or is it just punching with it sort of falling apart at the end.

Thanks, Jedi
