I find that many of the games that require some kind of rhythm seem to be out of sync. Now I was never a great dancer but at least I could follow the beat. Some of the Wii games seem have a whole new meaning to "being in time." Is it possible there is that much of a time delay between the Balance Board and game console?

I think the most time delay come from the signal processing in modern TVs. Using my computer as a display the reaction time increase to nearly a halve of a second.

I am a pretty good dancer, and used to play the drums. I, too, find that it wants me to step more slowly than the music I hear. It seems to help if I exaggerate my steps (which is also better exercise....).

I haven't had this problem but like Methusalem, I'm using a digital display and the reaction time seems pretty tight.
I have noticed one issue, low batteries seem to reduce your accuracy. I'm using rechargables so I just swap them out befor ethey get very low.

This is a misunderstanding. I'm using an really old fashion Tube-TV. Only for testing snapshots I connect the Wii to one computer and his LCD-Display. The Video capture card, software processing and format converting takes this "endless" half second delay.

I'm also use rechargeable batteries and because the long time of constant voltage and then the sharp voltage fall at the very end of the charge, it's far easier to use.

Hi. I find that if I try to move with some rhythm then I get a lower score. I agree with Coloharpare that exaggerated steps give the best score. In other words, move like a robot, not a musical person!
