Is there any other way to move the cursor and select from the main Wii menu without waving the Wii remote around?
I am trying to help someone with cerebral palsy to use a Wii, but they have difficulty holding the remote steady enough to be able to move the cursor reliably and push the button to select from the menu.
Is it possible to use something like the joystick on a different controller (e.g. the nunchuk) to move the cursor in the main menu, or are there any other solutions? Using a joystick would be much easier, because the cursor would not wobble about like it does when they try to hold the Wii Remote steady.

Unfortunately, the only way is with the remote. However, the angle-wise movements required are quite small, so if there is a table that can be set nearby, you could balance pillows or small beanbags on it, and set the remote on there in such a way that it can see the screen (OK, the sensor bar, actually) and be pushed around gently to navigate the menus. The beanbags and table would provide support and stability while navigating, and the remote can be picked up when doing an activity that requires it.
