I just started using EA Sports Active 2.0 last week. In general it's going fine. But every time it wants me to just run I can't get the sensors to pick up my movements accurately. I had my heart rate over 200, was running as hard as i could and it was telling me "too slow" and the mii was barely moving. Has anyone else had (and solved) this problem? I don't have problems on anything else - foot fires, high knees, jump rope - anything else, just on the ones where it wants me to run.

Sorry, because of bad knees I don't do the running that much, but the few times I did, it registered, in fact I beat the trainer. A couple of things to check (Are you on the Wii - 'cause that's what I use).
EASA 2.0 uses bluetooth technology, make sure you don't have a lot of bluetooth tech stuff near your game consel. I have my Wii turned so I can see the "dongle" USB receiver, it is facing sideways to my left when I workout. If you can't do that try doing your running in place, turned a little to the side and not front on to the t.v. Some people have stated that for running they move the leg monitor further toward their knee.
You may want to go to the EA Sports Active Forums to see if you can find a solution.

I got sidetracked away from EA sports and just started back up. Finally figured out the sensor thing when running - it's using the arm sensor! If I move my arms more sharply and vigorously I run like the wind. It doesn't matter if my legs are barely moving (which is weird but whatever). Now the only one I'm having trouble with is the left leg on split squats. Right leg is fine, left leg won't register at all. Annoying. But still a decent program to get me to do strength training which I hate and avoid like the plague otherwise.

Make sure your right leg sensor is not too high on your leg. I think the placement of the leg sensor depends on your hight and the length of your legs. If you are tall, lower the sensor placement. Also make sure the leg sensor is not upside down.
