I thought I'd drop some hints for everyone. I came in here hoping that someone on here could help me with Advanced, I can't get past what I'm assuming is the last level. It seems I'm "disappointingly" near the head of the pack. ;)

I'd be interested to know what is the last level on Advanced.

I just managed to clear level 7 the other day, thinking it probably was the last, but it turns out it isn't.

And even reaching level 8 (score 120+), I still only get a 2 star score, so I'd guess that still may not be the last level.

I'm hoping 8 is the last level, if I have to skate much longer I'm going to pass out. The last 4 times I've played I can't seem to get over 150.

I have two problems, I can't turn fast enough and I can't maintain speed. I need a horrendous amount of speed to get from one level to the next. This is basically where everything falls apart for me.

I know what you mean about turning on that level. I keep falling off the edges of those platforms, and then I can't turn fast enough to avoid having to go back to the initial route up.

I haven't reached 150 yet, but I got over 140 yesterday.

Half Pipe: The temptation on the half pipe is to zip from side to side, don't do that, you have far less control when you have the half pipe at your back, you also waste a lot of time skating back and forth between them. Pick the far side of the half pipe, lean forward into your board and as you reach the top of the pipe do a jump-trick. You should, most of the time, get 1 point going up, one point for the jump-trick and one point coming down if you're spaced out over 2 different pipe sections.

Practice, practice, practice! :D

So....you should go up the half-pipe, do a trick, land, and try to go back up the SAME half-pipe? Or rather, the next one along, but on the same side of the course? When I'm headed right across the course at the opposite side? Wouldn't turning back lose momentum, plus you wouldn't cross the blue strips in the middle....??? Or am I not getting something here?

It's a balancing act (sorry). You have to balance the time it takes to cross from one row of the half-pipes to the other, compared with flicking up and down on one side. Remember, though, that this game isn't about scoring lots of points by doing tricks. It is about scoring a fixed number of points as fast as possible.

If you have enough control of the board (I don't! ) you could score really quickly by going along one half-pipe side, along the light strips in the opposite direction, then back along the other side of the half-pipe.

If your balance is decent you're not going to lose momentum. If I can find the time and energy I'll vid myself doing the beginner course. It's always easier to see it done than have it described.

My comment was intended to be about steering rather than speed, but point taken.

I love skateboarding. It's the first game I play every day. My highest score is 317, which I achieved a couple of weeks ago after playing every day since Christmas. There are three levels--beginner, expert, and free. Once you get three stars on expert, it unlocks the free level. That level is sort of like free biking--you just skateboard around the arena for 5 minutes and do whichever tricks you want. I haven't gotten 4 stars on that level yet, and my highest score is over 1000 points, so I'm not sure what it takes.

here are some tricks I've learned, for advanced,

level 1,
easy, kick off 3 times, then weave slightly from side to side hitting the light bars at the edge, if you don;t have al least 50 seconds left after, start over.

level 2,

kick off like crazy baby, try for 6 kicks, maybe 7, leap off the ramp with a trick, then bob and weave like no ones business, kick off each ramp with the trick, when you get to the end of the straight away, there is a blockade and a cone, go between them, and leap off the last ramp with a kick, you should have 79 to 80 seconds left, any less restart,

level 3,
kick off twice, lean to the left with 1 or 2 bob and weaves, go up the pipe to the fight then lean left and kick off with a trick, bam 3 points, when you start coming down lean to the left, and repeat, you need at least 107 to 108 seconds left,

level 4

kick 2 times, weave once, hit the first light bar, then grind the box all the way to 8 points, the jump the blockade, light bar and grind for 15

level 5
kick off 2 times then sharp turn to the right, hit the wall keep turing right, then sharp left up the pipe, leap off with a trick, bam 3 points, repeat to the end, and high tail it back to the first pipe on the other side of the hallway.

level 6
kick off like crazy just like level 2, up the ramp with a trick, I go right, but each side is just the same, up each ramp with a trick, then after the final ramp try for a double light bar landing, then go for a triple bar cross. nead at least 168 at the end

level 7, kick off 3 times, weave a biit to the left, grind the box, turn right grind the box, turn right grind the rail, bob and weave for speed, turn right jump the two ramps with tricks, on jumping the second ramp, make sure you jump over the box and onto final next level

level 8

kick off 2 times, grind all three rails, 6 points each, weave over the light bar for both points, do the same for the next one, hit the single light bar, and jump the ramp leaning left with a trick, come to the rail at an angle, and jump both light bars, hit the ramp with a trick, and grind the bow, do a trick on the ramp and you're done.

if you do all this perfect, you should be able to reach around a 350, Imagine a 350, it's easy if you try Bob.
