Finally did this more than once :D
Beginner level
Starts with boarding across bumpers on the ground. You need to get 8 points to move to level 2. You begin with 60 seconds and the faster you get your points the more time you'll have for the next level. You earn 30 seconds plus what you have remaining from the previous level.

Level 2 needs 10 points. You travel over ramps to get them. You can get extra by doing "tricks"

Level 3 needs 10 points. You perform the half-pipe off the wall and cross the bumpers on the ground to get points. Tricks also get you extra

Level 4 needs 5 points. You skate towards and jump over barriers for points. Tricks and riding the rail on the barrier gets more points

Level 5 needs 7 points. You skate across a platform to rack up points. You skate across the blue strips and if you ride the rail on the edge you'll get more points

Level 6 needs 40 points. This is a compilation of all the activities in the other levels. An added obstacle is avoiding the orange cones. You will be docked a point for each one you hit.

I haven't cleared level 6 yet!

I love skateboarding. Doesn't seem like it would be that much of a workout but pushing off and swerving and jumping can really get your heart going. It's fun to try to do flips off the ramps too. On the second level I always get stumped at the end because you have to go up onto raised platforms and my control just isn't good enough to get up there and stay put. It's sort of like roof jumping in cycling to me!

I would hold on to something until I got the "feel" of it especially in turning. Once you get the hang of it you can steer your board without your crutch. I still find myself going in circles because I'm not turning well. It's definitely one that requires retries

You stand on your balance board like it is a skateboard. Push off with one foot and keep the other one on the board to get up some speed. Leaning left or right will make the board turn and if you lean back onto your push off foot you'll come to a screeching halt. Leaning back and forth will also help you gain some speed so you don't have to keep pushing off for speed. If you need to jump up onto something you just jump like you do on obstacle course or ski jumping. Just kind of a squat then straighten up. I like riding up and down the half pipes. If you do a little jump at the top you do a trick.

My terminology:
* "Light strips" are the flat scoring objects level with the ground. Just ride the board over them to score one point for each light strip you touch.
* "Benches" are the long thin "barriers". You score one point for each bench you skim along or jump over. You can skim along them by jumping onto them at a shallow angle. You don't score more points this way, but you do score them faster.
* "Platforms" are the wide wood-topped raised areas. They have scoring panels all round, so you can score simply by jumping on or off, or you can score by skimming along the sides. Do this either the same way you skim the benches or by riding onto the edge at a shallow angle.
* "Ramps" are self explanatory. They have scoring panels on their top edges, and if you "jump" (just like the jumps in other WFP games) at the top, you do a trick in the air for an extra point.

Push off with your back foot - for max effectiveness this should involve a forward weight shift. Alternatively, you can start by shifting your weight back and forth as if you are steering a zig-zag course. Use the latter technique to keep your speed up.

Because you are competing against the clock, scoring strategies that rack up points quickly are best. In the levels which just have light strips, try to skate along the lines rather than just across them.

In the same way, try to master skimming on benches and platforms - you can collect five points very quickly if you skim the full length of a platform.

In the sections with half-pipes, try to always land on the same section you jumped from. If you don't, you reduce the maximum score you can get from this area because you can do less tricks.

As in all games where you score points against the clock, emphasise scoring points fast rather than moving fast.

Is this right? Maybe I'm misreading it. It seems you can get an extra point if you jump and do the trick while over the break of 2 light strips. I'm not sure if I'm explaining that right. If you go up the half pipe and do the trick, you can get two points. If you go up one, do the trick, and come down the next, you can get 3 points.

Yes, but if you go down where you went up, and then up the second, you can do a trick for each one, and therefore get 4 points for the two strips.

Ah ha!! I knew you were probably right, but I didn't think of that!! That game gets my vertigo going, if I did even more tricks by going up and down each one, I'd probably have an attack! LOL!

I thought I'd drop some hints for everyone. I came in here hoping that someone on here could help me with Advanced, I can't get past what I'm assuming is the last level. It seems I'm "disappointingly" near the head of the pack. ;)

Ramps: you can zip though the ramps pretty fast and double your score at the same time. If you jump as you leave the top of the ramp you'll do a trick worth an extra point. This means you can rack up 10 points on 5 ramps if you can manage a jump on each one.

Platforms: skimming the platform rails is one of the most frustrating parts of the game. I've found that the slower your approach to the platform the more likely you are to get a clean jump. I still over-shoot them a lot though. Just like on the ramps, if your timing is extremely good, you can do a jump-trick as you come off the end of the platform. It's a lot harder than doing it on the ramp though.

Half Pipe: The temptation on the half pipe is to zip from side to side, don't do that, you have far less control when you have the half pipe at your back, you also waste a lot of time skating back and forth between them. Pick the far side of the half pipe, lean forward into your board and as you reach the top of the pipe do a jump-trick. You should, most of the time, get 1 point going up, one point for the jump-trick and one point coming down if you're spaced out over 2 different pipe sections.

Practice, practice, practice! :D
