Getting better - you were right, had to slow down. Added an allergy pill a half hour before running. Not very scientific - I have no idea if I am getting used to it, had to cough up 30 years of sludge, needed the allergy pill, needed to run slower, irritation from cold air, or just had to get stronger. Maybe all of the above. Because of wiifit et. al though, my legs have never been an issue. I have had no muscle pain from starting running. All just breath.

Any way, I am trotting a 1K path as many times a week as I can. Did not know how long my path was until last night - a little depressing to find out that I will have to run my route 5 times to run a 5 K. It is long when you see it on an actual map. I am stuck at the 3 week level on the C25K program, but I am going to give myself 2 weeks on each level rather that 1 week and see if that helps. I get extra time for being old. I have heard that the hardest level to jump is from week 3 to week 4. Meanwhile I am alternating the WiiFit cycling and jogging with the EASA2 for when I cannot get outside. Maybe I can do it . . . April 1 is my target date. Seems appropriate.
