Personally, I want a pair of those stands to help me do pushups without hurting my wrists. I usually double or triple the edge of my yoga mat, trying to cushion my hands, but it does not really help. Anyone using them, and do they really help?

I would love to ask for a new game, but have not found anything Wii that looks appealing. I spent this year using WiiFit Plus, WalkItOut and EASA2. WiiFitPlus gets the most points for being a good balance between fun and fitness, WIO was fun but just kept me in place and did not lose any weight in spite of walking for hours, and Sports Active is really making me sweat and getting arm muscles from the resisitance bands but I find it very BORING. I will finish my 90 Day Challenge, but it is going to be hard to sign up for another 90 days. Obviously, I get bored easily.

My extended family is now using the Wii, so I am looking for things to buy for them, as well. None of us is planning on changing to the Wii U when it comes out.

Which stands are those, for the pushups, I mean? I think I might have one - it's a metal bar with a stand on either side. It also keeps count of the number of pressups I do via a light sensor. I don't use it because of my wrists, though, but because it keeps me from twisting my back. It's just a metal bar with a rubber cushion on it, so it might help your wrists. It also allows you to not have your wrists bent as far. The thing is that I can't remember where I bought mine and it doesn't have a brand name on it.

Why aren't you planning to change to the Wii U, by the way? I've seen some previews and it looks very interesting. Of course, it depends on the actual games that come out for it, but I certainly haven't ruled it out.

You could try Red Steel II for something different to do. It will really work out your upper arms and the game has a story and goals, so it might keep you interested. :D

No just basic push up stands, available on Amazon. They supposedly help reduce strain on the wrists. I cannot do so many push ups that I need a sensor to keep track of them - I can count to 10! Maybe if my hands and wrists stop feeling like the bones are grinding into the floor, I could do more.

I will look up Red Steel - thanks!

Well, I only do 30 pressups a day, but the light sensor isn't very good so I have to practically touch it with my nose, which keeps me going down all the way.

Oh, yes, I forgot to anwser your question. What do I want for Christmas? More cycling games on the Wii. More jogging games on the Wii. Another, bigger island for Step to the Beat (Walk It Out). A heartbeat monitor connection for the Wii. That's just my fitness list. I do want other things, but they won't help me to get fit (but they will help me to get poorer).

Oh, by the way, don't forget that it's Red Steel II, you want. The first in the series wasn't set up for fitness at all and, indeed, wasn't that good a game.

I love your Christmas list - but I do not think even Santa can deliver it. Great ideas, though! I think we would all like to see them.

Red Steel II is probably not for me - maybe for my husband!

Still looking for gift ideas. People ask me what I want and I can never think of anything, and I need ideas for other people as well.

Why isn't Red Steel II for you? Too violent? I'm a woman and I love these sort of games, but that's just me.

As for gift ideas, well, I have no idea for anyone, really. Gift cards? Chocolate? More chocolate? Chocolate gift cards? :D

My vote is for more cycling games on WF+2, more time to do Step to the Beat, a Theorbo (imagine a lute the size of a bass guitar, but with two necks), and some random other stuff.

Don't want to see blood when I exercise - not anyone else's and especially not mine. I enjoy the sword play on Wii resort - am I the only one or do those little guys remind you of Lego people? So my level of acceptable violence is Lego.

Chocolate for everyone else - that would make me sadistic, or masocistic. No, both. Wait, is this a new "fitness" technique - make everyone else around you look fat so that you look thin?

Decided to go rent the Zumba game today, just to try it out - no longer available to rent in my town. Visited Amazon to see what it sells for and the reviews says it is hard on knees - not what I need right now.

Went back to WiiFit Plus and did the balance board and the biking and skating to see what spending a couple of months on EASA2 did to my scores, and I was scoring dead in the middle of my old scores. I wonder if getting used to it again plus what I think may be better cardiac shape will do - I am casting about still for something else to do between now and Thanksgiving or Christmas. Anything to avoid the dreaded holiday weight gain. I started a new WIO island, but I am just not into it - it would be my 5th island. I would give my mom WIO for Christmas but she would hate the music, so no.

I think I would be more excited about doing another round of Sports Active if I could figure out why I could never do a fitness test or heart recovery test - that would be very motivating.

Have not thought of anything else I want to ask for, exercise related.
