Aha! That is how you make it work. I've done that plunge numerous times and succeeded sometimes. But could not figure out how I made it succeed when it did. So now, perhaps I will cut off a few seconds and be closer than ever to the dust storm you are all creating ahead of me!

Actually I've never gotten everything to line up to make a record run using that shortcut. My 15:15 was done the old fashioned way. I expect when I've finally squeezed the last nanosecond out of that route, I'll concentrate on incorporating the 'end of S-ledge' shortcut into my routine.

I spent 2 hours over the last couple days trying that jump off the end of the S ledge to reincarnate in front of the waterfall. I can do it now - sometimes. Like 1 in 15. And I still can't figure out the key to making it repeatable. I never get it on the first try when I'm cycling back up. I can tell by the way the mii falls whether I got it or not - but that's not too helpful in repeating it! But i still have 35 seconds to knock off without it to catch Porquai, so I just need to keep cycling!

I am somewhat embarrased to admit I found this, because it really only saves you from biking up a hill...which is kind of the opposite of the exercise intent. But if you happen to be trying the jump off the end of the S ledge and you want a faster way back up it might be useful. If you succeed at the s ledge jump, reincarnate by the waterfall, and then are biking back towards where you can go up the hill, if you stop on that lowest level, right next to the cliff about where the cliff bends (which I think is just before or right around where the fence above starts) and end your game, you will start the next game up on the S ledge headed out towards the balloon well above where the fence starts.

Well that is certainly new.

Its like Methusalem's find where you stop under the dead-end overhang across from the ruins and stop the game. If done right, you end up on the dead-end when you restart and can cycle back up from there to the castle.

Interesting to know. Unlikely to use it.
