I'm still trying to figure out how do do the death plummets, that and staying on the roofs is I think all I haven't been able to accomplish so far. What would be the simplest of these cheats to try first, since I haven't successfully utilized any yet.

Start up by the lake near the castle. (You know where this is, right?) Ride down the road away from the castle toward the tunnel that leads back to the waterfall.

BUT: just before you get to the tunnel, veer off to the left, and hug the cliff that is now on your right (was left of the tunnel before you veered). Keep going, and eventually you fall over the edge. Normally when you do this, you die and reincarnate near the top of the cliff / other high place that you fell off. In this case, however, you die and reincarnate down below, on the Black Road heading towards the old temple ruins.

It is cheating in the sense that you are exploiting what is probably a bug in the game, but I'm not going to tell anyone if you do it...

Aha!! I was trying it from the left branch inside the tunnel, which is where I was able to jump off during basic run. I'll give that a try - thanks.

I like the one going up the mountain to the right from the castle. After passing the second grassy area there is a rock to the right off to the side of the cliff. Head for that rock, and if you fall onto the "saddle" that appears as you fall, you end up in the sandy lake bed heading for a balloon. A few tries and you will know right where to go off the edge.

I've found not one, not, two, but four new plummets:

(1) Hotel Beach Balloon plummet: Starting at the mouth of the Great Tunnel, go along the fence above the tennis courts, straight into the sea until you are engulfed and plummet into the deep water. You will find yourself next to balloon behind the hotel.

(2) Beach plummet: After you have done the Balloon behind the hotel, going along the beach towards the balloon after Camel Rock, you will see a non-launcher ramp. Go into the sea by this ramp so that you plummet into the deep water. You will find yourself by the ramp further up the beach.

(3) Lighthouse cliff: After you have popped the balloon behind the lighthouse, continue straight on over the cliff. When you return you will be nearer the lighthouse and facing downhill.

(4) Steel ramp plummet: As you ride into the chamber where the lake is, heading towards the ramp, ride into the lake. When you return, you will find yourself on the ramp.

The Hotel Beach Balloon plummet is the one that will save you the most time. Might take people down below 15 minutes. Enjoy!

Very interesting lajoggeuse. I hope to be back cycling in a couple of weeks as I am off on vacation for a bit and when I return will persue DiDi once again. From what I have seen, things have been very slow on the Island this summer with our southern friends so it shloldn't be too hard for us northerners to whip some butt again.

Thanks lajoggeuse, I'll be trying those plummets. I don't understand the last one, though. Are you talking about the metal spiraling ramp? That area doesn't have access to the lake as far as I know except in a glitch near the bottom of the tunnel.

Water, then. There's water - I thought it was part of a lake, but it might be a river - in the chamber at the bottom end of the ramp.

What I do is enter the chamber and immediately plummet into the water and that takes me onto the ramp. It only saves a few seconds of pedalling, but a few seconds saved is better than none.

I hope this explanation is clearer. Sorry about any confusion.

Thanks. I will have to open my eyes in there- I think I just head up the ramp and don't notice everything else. A few seconds is a lot in this game. Great! Thanks.

After quite some time off the Wii, I just had a horrible run. First run in a while, and I started over a few times to get a better start. But I still did awful! I was actually trying to brake with the A button, I forgot not to completely stop at one turn (on the hill after hitting the balloon outside the dry lake tunnel) and I believe I missed a balloon somewhere and don't even know where, because I didn't get the message after the last balloon on my route. Boy do I need practice!

I tried #1 and it worked for me. However, it seemed like I had to ride so far out into the water that it burned up quite a bit of time. I also went over the cliff by the lighthouse, but duh, to my dismay I lost my pet. (Oh, yeah! You have to plan on losing your pet for all these plummets.) I am going to try them all (I just couldn't remember them while I was on the board so had to come back here and read again.) The one out by Camel Rock sounds good- it doesn't matter if you lose your pet at that point.
