Let me know how you do! I edited my post above because it was 26.5 minutes, not 16.5. I was subtracting my 3.5 remaining minutes from 20 instead of 30. Quite a difference. I'm sure nobody believed me to begin with.
Now I need 23 min 56 Sek to burst the balls. :)
Doing bicycle I keep an eye on the ship, but it stays always far away. No chance to ride on board.

Ah that is good! You started at the lighthouse too? It's a great route (for me); it goes fast and downhill. I'm lazy. :)

Getting faster with every try. Wish I didn't make stupid errors!

I feel like I just found a whole group of people who understand me. My family clearly thinks I have lost it. I finished the route for the first time with all 20 balls (I couldn't find one for over a week) and had 3.5 minutes to spare so I raced around the island on the pavement to gain more time, finishing with 10.085 miles and besting my time by 3 seconds. I did note that the door on the hotel was firmly closed as I sped by. I want to keep in touch to see if anyone unlocks anything. ;)

Finally got all 20 with 25:54:51 and made a couple of mistakes so could be shorter. I made one change to your route by getting the ball on the ledge by the rock with short tunnel nd then headed to town. I have been looking for cliffs that can be jumped off of and can only find 3 of which only 2 are on my route. Has anyone found any others. I tried jumping through the columns to get to the beach by the resort but had no success there even though from the beach it looks very close. Aklso at the ruins on your way in there are 3 ledges that don't seem very high from below but jumping on to them from above kills me every time. Has anyone had success here. What is the shortest time anyone has recorded yet. Also wondering how you are picking up kitties, so far I don't seem to need them but could be helpful. I don't think the doors are anything in this game. I'm sweating something awful but can't seem to lose weight yet :(

I think my shortest is 25.43.something. I jump off the cliff by the ball coming down past Duckling Lake and the little drop from the ball on the ledge you talked about into the short tunnel. My hubby wants the same jumps you do- in the tunnel above the resort beach and surrounding the ruins. But no go. Just going past a kitty picks it up; and true, they are only helpful if you just miss a ball. It's nice not to have to turn around then and try again. Agreed about the doors. They must be for a future version. Just to whet our appetites.

The doors are definitely annoying. Are they really there just to tick me off?

Did all twenty balloons in 23:54.48 today. I started at the ruins and finished at the far end of the beach.

Wow. Good for you. I wonder how good the timing system is. I have done the same route 3 times starting at the lighthouse and even though I have made some errors the time was exactly the same 25:54:51 I find it hard to believe I am that consistent... I will try starting at the ruins and see if I can go faster. Other starting points for me were longer.

OK,I'll make you all jealous... My best time is 19:20.83, yes, 19 minutes...

Start above the castle on the loop. If you can, be in the grassy area with the standing stones, where you find...

Balloon 1: The grassy area with standing stones, above the castle. Leave clockwise (downhill) as this is shorter.
Balloon 2: Behind the castle keep, inside the curtain wall. Collect the dog as there are places to use it later on.
Balloon 3: In the grassy triangle just before the road dives towards the tunnel.
Balloon 4: In the narrow raised area to the left of the pile of sand. From there go up the steel ramp above the pile of sand.
Balloon 5: In the large grass field at the top of the steel ramp, then cross the high-level rope bridges.
Balloon 6: In the sandy pit up the tunnel.
Balloon 7: In the rocks to the left as you go down towards the hotel and beach, above the entrance to the tunnel.
Balloon 8: In the wide slopy raised grassy area between the upper grassy stretch and the main lower stuff, across the slope from the rocks.
Balloon 9: By the big bridge at the hotel end.
Balloon 10: In the main town, up the ramps from the fountain square.
Balloon 11: In town, between the two buildings southeast of the square.
Balloon 12: Just outside the southwest corner of town.
Balloon 13: Out beyond the lighthouse.
Balloon 14: By the large oval hole, at the lighthouse end. The dog helps you avoid an awkward (and slow) U-turn.
Balloon 15: By the large oval hole, at the temple/ruins end.
Balloon 16: Round the back of the raised temple building.
Balloon 17: On the narrow part of the beach behind the hotel.
Balloon 18: On the main beach just beyond Camel rock (go through the hole!).
Balloon 19: On the small grassy rock nearish to the end of the beach. Use the launcher ramp to get up. Ride off away from the main island and collect the dog nearby.
Balloon 20: At the very end of the beach, by the large grassy rock. Use the dog to trim a couple of seconds off the time.

The second dog, on the beach, is debatable, because it isn't exactly on your straight-line route, so it might cost more than you save.

Why this route? Start at the castle because it is incredibly slow going up there, and very fast coming down. The only other really slow place is the beach, so you finish there, as you don't want to ride along it twice!
