I'm 52 and discovered the Wii because of my daughter. I had dismissed it as another video game console that I didn't need until she showed me that I could use it for some moderate exercise. The moderate exercise was great and has turned into a full fitness regime that now includes cardio kickboxing classes. Without my Wii I'd still be sitting on the couch with my bag of chips wondering why I was getting fat!

Just to keep in touch: It is 70 degrees F. today and sunny. Gorgeous! I can get my vitamin D without a pill!
Happy spring to north hemispherians.

Back at you Kescah. 50 something today (10C) but raining. Even with exercising all winter on the Wii I sure feel out of shape doing yardwork. Must be a whole new set of muscles I have that need to ache some But outside sure beats inside Are you getting any better at cycling yet ? You really do need the practise

Yes, I do. No improvement, but then, not much practice either. You are good for me. I will exercise. Spring is distracting. I have had the yard and also spring cleaning, but the sunshine makes me want to paint and redo things. Some of that counts for exercise, but doesn't do much for my speed. OK, you've lit the fire.

Yes, because some have do to much work in the garden, doing jogging in the wood, biking along the fields, swimming in a pool and all this in the real world. And now come out to us and at least produce some vitamin D by using the sun.

At least I will do that for you, Methusalem. I might even walk a few steps!

I bettered my speed today; I'm at 17:55:08. Not a record on this forum at all, but good for me. And that was despite a serious braking failure after coming out of the dry lake bed and popping the hillside balloon.

Gratulation, now you have overturn cynique (if you set your actually time in the forum stats). Some know fault will help to make it better by the next try.

I think that is why we keep trying. Even a good score will show room for improvement somewhere, a tighter corner or faster route.... or maybe a door to open someday....
