Ah yes, and then there's Captain Kangaroo. I remember when we got our first TV. Black and white and about the size of a couple of lunch boxes stacked together. But we all sat around it watching him and Mr. Greenjeans. And later there came along "The Wonderful World of Color"! Those are the two main shows from my childhood.

I agree that some of the jumps are not worth it. I'll be checking out the Duckling Lake one today. Got up extra early just for this! I can't imagine that it really saves time. Does it take you that far?

Going alongside Hump Rock and jumping in and jumping off the cliff before the first plateau saves a bit. Trick is to be going straight when you reincarnate and never stop pedaling even as you fall. This keeps the rhythm steady which seems to be important. If you have to start from a dead stop each time their value is questionable. If a person had the time I bet that almost everywhere you could jump off at the start of a section and reincarnate further along would have minimal value, but I don't think my Mii could stand the abuse. He is pretty beat up and sore already from all this jumping :D

It's a good thing the Miis don't do the strength training. They are such babies. Well, they are braver than I when it comes to cycling off cliffs.

Day 100 for me today on the Wii without missing a day. Feeling good especially when I finished my first run 16:25.75 and I completely missed one jump and had to go back. I can't believe it. Phunguy might as well hang his bike up for the winter I think :D Do you think 16 is possible, I know there is at least 10 sec to be gained and biggest area for improvement for me is the uphill climb after the manmade tunnel before the beach. Now if I could just start losing weight, wii keeps telling me to be patient and it will happen but I am starting to wonder. Guess I'll go weigh in, I think I am 2 kg heavier now than when I started but because of daily fluctuations that could mean I am still even. :(

All right! Excellent work! But has it been authenticated by Guiness?

How much weight do you want to lose? You obviously need more exercise. (Just kidding!) I haven't been watching other sections about diet and such lately to see what you are doing.

I would like to lose about 20 lb from my gut. I am not terrible overweight except for that. Beer was probably the cause as I used to enjoy a cool suds at night after work. Cut that out though so I am hoping eventually to see some improvement. I currently have a damaged tendon in my rotator cup so I am a little limited of some exercises that use the arms. It is coming along though so between spring coming and some sit ups etc. Funny as you age how there seems to always be something that needs repair. Too many years of abuse I suppose. :(
Let me know when they are coming and I will let Guinness watch. My runs ae becoming quite consistent so it is only technique improvement and small changes that make a slow difference. The change today was not to follow the sand after the first balloon but cut up quickly on to the grass and go behind the resort before heading to camel rock. Lots more speed on grass than sand :D 3 runs today were all around 16:30

OK, obviously you are no longer using your route on p.10 of 26.5 thread. Can you point to (or write out) your current route? It's only fair to see if I can catch on your own route.

My legs are fine today, so I did my complete workout. I don't know what was wrong yesterday, but they felt like lead and the muscles hurt. Beware, I'm back at it and a force to be reckoned with!

OK, I use DiDis route mainly.
Start at Duckling lake (you are heading towart the tunnel but starting before the green at Hump Rock) After 1st balloon head toward the castle staying to left of Hump Rock. Go for a swim and then head behind the castle, plunge before castle if you wish, debatable (pet doesn't really matter but you can use it here) Continue out of castle up the mountain counter clockwise. Plummet just before first plateau. Reincarnate and pop balloon then head up to plunge that will take you to Dry Lake bed (Hold the steering straight to head for balloon (approx time here 17:40) pop #3 and out tunnel to plunge by fence to reincarnate on ledge heading for balloon #4, turn tight going down toward the Red iron Bridge (fence plunge is debatable) Next is balloon in field by bridge, plunge into river, reincarnate on bridge heading into town. Pick up pet at corner going toward ballong between buildings (pet will join you after you turn into town after popping that balloon - sneaky pet) Climp centre ramp to balloon on plateau and then down ramp to balloon on edge of town. Skoot up to the lighthouse then across windmill field to get the balloon on the ledge, I stay above not jumping down to the road. Return to steel ramp cave and pop the balloon in the field before you jump down into the Dog leap Tunnel. Use pet to pop balloon on ledge next to lagoon, back to the road and then pop balloon in field on other side of laggoon. Then straight to the ruins to get balloon above circling the temple and then back down to the road heading for Man made tunnel. Immediately after tunnel turn right to get the balloon next to rock (use pet) and then down to the beach. After the first balloon on beach is popped I turn hard right to the grass and follow it along to behind the resort where I turn toward Camel Rock to get the balloon at its exit. Then Down to beach to take the ramp up to plateau and #19 balloon, jump down, ring for kitty when you get close and then straight down the beach to get the last balloon using pet.
I use the pet almost all the time and never stop pedalling even while falling over cliffs to maintain rythym. Let me know how you make out :D
I look forward to having some company soon on the road :D :D

Thanks jvv. It's much like what I'm doing, but a few changes which will probably help me speed up. It may take me a few tries to pass you up. I have to try harder to keep my cat. He left me last run because HE bonked into a fence, though I was doing well! Sheesh!

Kescah, my kitty is sneaky. Twice today I sent her to get a balloon (admitadly I am always trying to send her a little earlier) and continued on my journey but didn't here the pop or arm signal that it was burst, I turned around only to have the kittie suddenly turn and do its job though I didn't ring again. You just can't trust a sneaky kitty :D
