I love it when I read about people biking around with their "kitties", because it just lets me know that I'm not the only "crazy cat person" that puts their cat on the Wii...lol!!

I have a cat and rabbit, but they both came out as cats.

I did that route today but did not improve my time, mostly because of trouble getting up that hill after the man made tunnel. After I finished the route, I went back and practiced there some and can now probably navigate it better most of the time. I think I would have done better if not for that because I was ahead on my time till then.
I used to hit that balloon after leaving the dry lake bed, then turn around and head for the s-shaped ledge. It still seems that that should work as well as struggling up that nasty hill, but I'm doing it your way till I see how that goes.
I've also trimmed of time in other areas. We'll see how it goes.

Whoa! 16:25 is awesome.
For the balloon outside the manmade tunnel, I snag the balloon on the hill coming out of the dry lakebed. If you hit the rear brake as you hit the balloon, you spin around 180 degrees, miss the rock and are in position to head back up to the jump at the top of the hill outside the lakebed. If you do it right, you never even stop, just pop and go.
It's way faster than climbing the hill at the end. I'm not sure where I can cut another 30 seconds, wow, good job. I'm glad all my secrets are helping you beat me!!!!
What order do you do the balloons in the town. I've been trying to see what's faster but keep losing the pet also. Arghhh!

I will try your way after the dry lake bed but think it covers a lot of ground twice. I admit that the uphill climb is difficult but if you cut very tight and avoid the ramp, provided you have enough speed you can send your pet ahead a long way to get the balloon. On my 16:25 run thats how I did it. The route is all listed a little earlier in this thread. I got 16:30 today and saw a lot of room for improvement. Thanks for your tips DiDi. It keeps the interest up in the game for everyone I think. What times are you getting consistently?

I'm going to try a few runs jvv's way still and see if I can swing up that hill. If it ruins my time I'll take it out on him. I have yet to see what the cat will do as it ditched me near that area on the practice runs. On the real run I failed miserably, cat and all. If that gives me too much trouble I'll go back to hitting it before the s-shaped ledge balloon; I did get pretty good at hitting it, turning (with brakes) and then sliding in between the fence and tree to speed on over to the next. But I can see where the hill climb with cat's help could be faster if successful.

16:15.81 OMG I don't know if 15s are possible r not. I had a real good run with only a few minor flaws. Seems impossible to keep speed lines to max all the time and the balloon after the Man made tunnel still gives a little trouble. I actually missed the turn and hit the ramp but didn't have enough speed to get up the hill so there is still some room there and maybe minor improvements on turning technique but all in all not a bad run. Funny at night it seems I am more balanced and in control than first thing in morning. Anyway I am not watching the tube. Now if I could only type on the forum while running or pedalling. How are you doing Kescah, catching up any yet? I think Phunguy gave up?

Well, yesterday my exercise felt so good that I stepped it up. I pulled a muscle in my back when I forgot I wasn't 18 anymore; I did some of the stretches we did back in high school, laying on my back, arms out to the sides and touch my hand with toes. I never knew you had to be in high school to do that. So I haven't gotten on the board today. I want to, now, though, but have to see if the tv becomes available and I think it won't. And then I have to see if I can tolerate the activity. I sure couldn't tolerate grocery shopping without making pain noises. It was embarrassing.
