How are you doing Kescah, catching up any yet? I think Phunguy gave up?
Maybe not everyone find your signature so funny. Jokes between good friends may not so good for people that you see first time. I'm not using plummet downs because I'm the one that always climbing up (roofs, cliffs, ruins or simply all what I found) . So I can't shorten my time so much as you.

I was hoping nobody would remember that.... It took me a while to realize that I needed to add 10 minutes on to that time.

Well, I'm getting closer to the day I did 15.6. Today it was 18.05.71! My best. Getting nearer the 17s. I did the one balloon my (and Didi's) old way, after the dry lake bed. I muffed up somewhere and cost myself some time with bad driving, so that hopefully means better time next time. Also I learned that the fastest way for me to get the balloon behind the resort is to go sharper left after the tunnel and head for the windows of the tunnel, then turn right nearer the bottom and head straight into the balloon with no need to make a sharp, sometimes unsuccessful turn. I think it's faster than trying to steer my cat at it when you can't see it until you're almost upon it, and you are zooming so fast that you don't have time to think. At least for me at this point.
And better news yet; my brand new jeans are getting loose! But I have brand new summer pants that I meant to get in to last summer but never could. So I am looking forward to that this year.

Will this madness never end. 4 tries tonight and best time was 16:12.93 Getting closer to the 15s but it will be a real tough go. I tried didis route after the dry lake bed but found it better my way. Too long a distance to cycle and no pets to help. I know that the turn after the tunnel is tight but with practise it gets easier. And as for the first balloon on the beach I personally look out into the water and aim to the right of the small island out there. That puts me on a close straight aim for the balloon which cuts distance and terefore time, if I am going straight I might use the pet, otherwise I just hit it myself. It is also quite a bit faster to cycle on the grass behind the resort I have found so a tight quick turn after the balloon is critical to a good time. Once on the beach speed and straight lines are the only rule I have found so far, no easy ride there but do use the kittie for the last one and send her as far ahead as possible. Kescah, what did you mean by - Well, I'm getting closer to the day I did 15.6? Did you actually break into the 15s by that much. WOW!!

Thank goodness you posted that original thread kescah, isn't that where all this fun started? Anyway, I'm back on the bike after a short absence and am into the 19s but still making some school girl errors - namely the one behind the resort (I agree to go further down before hitting the sand and striking the ball head on rather than making a dodgy turn, but yesterday I just sailed straight past it!); falling into the sea after the ball on the edge of town (I've now alterred my route back to getting that one before going back into town for the one after the ramp); the one on the grass when you turn right after the volcano tunnel. I reckon when I've sorted out my technique with those ones I'll be into the 18s. Wish me luck, I'll be at it again later.
Does anyone else get nervous before they start out? I really must sort my life out

I wouldn't worry about it dayfit, we all go swimming there once in awhile My kitttie often deserts me there as I turn onto the beach. I think she actually likes the warm water there and is so tired she can't go any further. No matter, she's not much use after that balloon. Somethng I have noticed more and more in all the cycling levels is that the easiest or obvious route is not necessarily the best one

No, I never actually did the 15s. I was deducting my remaining minutes after hitting the balloon and accidentally deducted it from 20 instead of 30. That was way back when, before I even realized they posted your time for you. I posted it here and the next day realized it was necessary to add 10 minutes to it! That is why the thread says Edited: 26.5. Yes, 1dayfit, that is when the race began. People started adding their suggestions (start here, cut out time, start there, jump off here, there) and now we are a bunch of obsessed split second fools.
Congrats on your times, jvv!
