These slides have popped up on a number of message boards in the last few days. They appear to be Nintendo marketing slides showing a new pedalling based controller for the Wii.

One of the repeated criticisms of Wii Fit has been that it isn't so good for cardio-vascular exercise, adding what is effectively a small static bike should plug that particular whole.

It will be interesting to see how well the bike works, especially how much resistance it gives you. The slide says there will be "60 different game modes" which sounds like the typical exaggeration one expects from marketing departments, I can't see there really being 60 different ways of pedalling a bike However, this is going to be an interesting improvement over traditional exercise bikes, where the best you can do it watch a bit of TV while you pedal.
